TRAINING PROGRAMMES If you wish to start a business offering image services, as well as having huge brand awareness, colour

me beautiful is committed to offering the most up-to-date training, structured in a way which allows

you to develop, learn, progress and succeed according to your personal goals.

Our programmes are professionally designed and

have been perfected over time to ensure that they

give you the confidence and knowledge to

expertly advise your clients and to build a long

term successful business. All courses are highly

interactive and include hands-on experience with

client volunteers.

This practical consulting experience during training

helps to maximise your confidence. When you train

with colour me beautiful as a Personal Stylist, Colour

or Image Consultant you have the opportunity to

run your own business, on a full or part-time basis,

whilst enjoying the privileges and benefits of

support and marketing from a leading brand. Your

income is generated from fees for services,

enhanced by the sale of cosmetics, if you wish to,

and other colour me beautiful products.

Most consultants work from their home where they

allocate space for a studio. Some go on to

establish themselves in commercial premises;

others will add this new opportunity to their existing

business.

Personal Styling, Colour and Image Consulting are

ideal if you want to build a ‘mobile’ business or if

your circumstances mean that you often relocate

to different cities or countries.

Personal Stylist (module One) This five-day course will enable you to practise as a

Personal Stylist. The course includes styling, personal

shopping and an overview of colour. Should you

be unable to travel to London or Manchester, this

course is also available as an e-learning programme.

Colour (module Two) This five-day programme will enable you to qualify as

a Colour Consultant, and offer personal colour

consultations and make-up lessons. Your details can

be added to our online directory of consultants and

you will have access to our Intranet.

If you attend both the Stylist and the Colour courses, you will be a fully qualified Image Consultant. Being fully qualified will also provide opportunities for you to partake in local and national promotions and marketing events with colour me beautiful.

With between four and ten trainees on a course, we

ensure you benefit from personal attention as well as

interaction with your peers. Courses generally run

from 9.30 hrs to 17.30 hrs.

Training Academy Courses

Your options are simple, you may select either or

both of the following two courses (Modules) and

can attend them in either order (for more details see

page 3.)

Once qualified, you are encouraged to attend as

many as possible of the additional half-day or full-day

training courses. These are designed to enhance your

business, make-up and marketing skills and to help you

develop a successful business in order to maximise your

income. These courses are unique to colour me

beautiful and include: Building your colour me

beautiful business; How to Conduct colour be beautiful

Workshops and Parties; Advanced colour; Advanced

style; Bridal services; Hair and glasses; Image for men;

Corporate.


On completion of this course you qualify as a Personal Stylist and receive a certificate. You will be able to confidently

conduct style consultations and full image makeovers;

you can also offer personal shopping, wardrobe audits

and style updates to your clients.

This is a very interactive programme. You will learn style

advising techniques and how to deliver these as a

consultation for your clients. The course combines

structured theory in assessing body shape, proportions,

scale and height with practical application on

volunteers. A shopping trip shows you how to apply the

concepts you have learnt. This practical experience

builds your confidence and consolidates learning.

This five-day intensive course covers the colour me

beautiful colour concept and how to use it to advise

clients on their best colours for clothing and make-up. The

course includes theory and practical sessions to boost your

confidence on how to execute, conduct and

communicate your knowledge during a consultation. You

will have a chance to practise on volunteers to enhance

your knowledge and confidence.

Anyone attending this module has the opportunity to be

featured and promoted on our website directory. By being

on the website you will receive enquiries from clients

paying you for colour me beautiful services. To provide

these, you will need a stock of colour palettes (swatches)

to give to your clients as part of a consultation. This course

also includes how to market your business. You may wish

to include cosmetics as part of your inventory as we find 8

out of 10 clients buy make-up at their consultation. Duration: 5 days

Once you are an established colour me beautiful

Colour Consultant and Personal Stylist, you have

the option to develop your skills and attend the

Men’s Image training. Offering image advice for

men is a market that has seen a huge leap in

recent years and you may want to benefit from

adding this service to your portfolio.

The course covers colour, style and wardrobing

for men. The approach uses the same concepts

already learnt, adapting them to suit the male

wardrobe and style personality. Practical sessions

with volunteers allow consultants to learn a more

direct and structured approach to the

consultation which is essential to the male client.

proved yourself to be effective as an Image

We advise at least six months work experience

PRODUCTS

Cosmetics Should you opt to, you can sell the colour me beautiful

make-up range as part of a colour and/or styling

consultation. The colour me beautiful collection is

designed according to our colour concept. The client

invests only in the colours that are recommended for

her particular palette.

Consultants profit from the sales of cosmetics. The

level of discount, and therefore profit you make, is

dependant upon the volume of your purchases

throughout the year.

The levels of discounts vary from 25% to 45% off the retail price.

Colour palettes

Given to your client as part of the colour consultation,

the wallet is a reminder of the quality of service your

clients receive. With 30 or 42 fabric swatches

representing their best shades and suggested

investment colours, the colour palettes are an

essential shopping aid for all colour me beautiful

clients.

Publications

Books have enhanced colour me beautiful’s

reputation as the leaders within the image industry

and give consultants the authority that goes with

being associated with successful publications. colour

me beautiful started with a publication written by

Carole Jackson in 1979.

Colour Me Confident and Image Matters for Men

were published by Hamlyn in 2006. Colour Me Younger

followed in 2008 and Be a Beautiful Bride in 2009.

Colour Me Beautiful and Colour Me Slimmer were

published in 2010 and The Make- up Manual in 2011.

A revised edition of Colour Me Beautiful was launched

in 2014. You can buy these books at a discount for re-

sale to your clients.

Programmes/Workbooks You will have access to our workbooks and

programmes for Style consultations and Updates.

These will give a structure to your consultations

whilst the clients will have valuable references

tools to take home.

Licence Fee for Online Directory of Colour

Annual conferences We are constantly working to help our consultants

improve their consulting skills.

We do this best by learning from each other.

Conferences are organised every Spring and

Autumn in London - consultants travel from all over

the world to be with us. At these meetings you will

be introduced to the forthcoming trends and High

Street fashions, new products and marketing

developments. These are exciting

and motivational days with guest speakers

covering subject matters relevant to your business.

This is also an invaluable opportunity for networking

with fellow consultants. A fee to cover lunch and

material is charged for attending these meetings.

Once a year (usually February) we honour our top

our UK Consultant Support Manager is there to help

you on a day-to-day basis. As an award-winning

to your client and press database to maintain

crucial client contact.
