Located in Kingston, Jamaica, in the heart of the
Caribbean, the Caribbean Graduate School of
Theology (CGST) serves the entire Caribbean
community. Their calling is driven by a strategic
vision compelling them “to provide quality Christ-
centered graduate-level education and training
that is accessible, affordable, and applicable to the
Christian constituency of the Caribbean, for the
strengthening of the Caribbean Church and the
transformation of society, for the glory of God.”
CGST is happy to report that after a rigorous
process of preparation, examination, and delibera-
tion all five of their master’s programs have been
accredited by the University Council of Jamaica,
and the Caribbean Evangelical Theological Assn.
After seven years of leadership, Dr. Las Newman
stepped down to give more time and attention to
research and teaching. Pray for the Board of
Governors and the Search Committee as they seek
to find a new President. Dr. John Keane has
assumed the position of Acting President.
Many institutions engaged in theological
education are facing the challenge of a hostile
world. Pray for
