the cloud oGYer at the IP was about 8/10. e out just a little abort of' the briefed IP and leTeled out on oourae with the Vickey Operator in control. Th olouda w.re breaking up allowing more visibility aa we dr.w near4l to the target. At one time the Bombardier tried to take the control from the Mickey man but the olouds again interTened malting it impouible to synchronise and make the run Tiaually . e were riding in on Vickey'a calculation• until about 1/2 a minute before bomba away when the clouds broke and the Bombardier oould aee th target just ott to the right. The Bombardier mad a correction for courae but did not vary the rate . !he bomb& were dropped PPF with Tiaual aaaiatanoe. Bomba were away at 1'3' on a Mag. Heading of 126 • Tb AFC was O. K. the lead aalvoedJ all others used a SO tt. intervalometer aetting. Reaults were unob~erTed.

Bomba were ' aalvoed by the Leader and drepped with a 30 foot intervolameter aetting by all ot ra . The run waa made PFP with a viaual aasiat by the Bomb•

During laat half of baab run and for 5 minutes after target contrail• · and thin cloud conditions were encountered ca aing the three Squadron• to loae visual oaataot. Briefed caurae was follO..d except that deaoent waa made to 500' bel ow briefed and tinally 1 . 000• below brieted . Viaual contact with Squadron• was again nw.de nd the Group retoraed. Deacent waa not nade at Dutch Coaat a11 planned but altitude ot 23. 000 1 waa main• tained until l/3 back aoroaa channel dut to high clouda over let third ot channel .

After letdown w.s initiated it was oontinued down through by weaviD,£ around aoattered cloud layera and finally leveling off at 1,600 ' just inside the Engliah Coaat. Lead Squadron was trailed by Low and High i n that order until baae was reached . All ahipa landed safely at h baae .
