CBT Cares is here for you—in good times and hard times—offering
support and a helping hand when needed. We provide congratulations for simchas—sympathy for the loss of a loved one—and support when others aren’t doing so well. New volunteers are always welcome. Donations are equally appreciated. It all adds up to a more supportive and caring shul community! To receive help, to volunteer, or to make a donation, contact us at [email protected].
Following Shabbat service, everyone is invited
to join us for a Kiddush luncheon co-
sponsored by Sisterhood and Sarah & Michael
Fisher in honor of their 10th anniversary.
For additions, corrections, or deletions, visit us online at
congregationbethtorah.org/yahrzeit-info or call the Rabbi’s office at
972.234.1542 x227. For questions about yahrzeit dates, or anything having to do with the rituals and
customs surrounding the end of life experience, contact Rabbi Zelony.

"The Hospitalist is a terrifying tale that takes readers deep inside the
modern healthcare system, exposing the economic and professional
forces destroying the ability of doctors to do their jobs. Michael
Weisberg, a renowned physician for more than two decades,
penetrates the thick walls of hospitals, doctors’ offices, law firms and
insurance companies, exposing realities that have remained secret
for too long. In the process, Weisberg lays bare the arrogance,
aspirations, greed and foolishness tearing apart the quality of patient
care. Anyone seeking treatment in a hospital must first read this
book." —Kurt Eichenwald, writer for Vanity Fair & Newsweek.
Dr. Michael Weisberg has been a practicing gastroenterologist for over
23 years in Plano, Texas. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and
Gastroenterology and has been recognized as a ‘Super-Doctor’ by Texas
Monthly and named to D Magazine’s list of best doctors eight times. Dr.
Weisberg serves on the board of Digestive Health Associates of Texas.

SISTERHOOD YARN PROJECT— Extra yarn at home?
Always wanted to learn to knit? Already a knitting expert? Want to help the homeless stay warm this winter?
If you knit/crochet or want to learn, reach out to Anna Segal to join the knitters circle. The group will meet occasionally at homes or at CBT at 7:00 PM on the second Wednesday of each month with the first meeting taking place Wednesday, 11 November. You can reach Anna at 972.233.6421 or [email protected].
The group is undertaking a project to make hats and scarves to be "yarn bombed" (anonymously placed in areas in Richardson known to have homeless) before the really cold weather hits DFW.
We are collecting unwanted yarn in a collection box at CBT for people to use to make the hats and scarves.
