This implies that the following matter is from another 80urce. At col. 156& begins a collection of notes relating to Munster and LeinBter persons and families. The language of these notes contains undoubtedly early forms, such as "Corco Echreg", the eighth century form of Corco Fiachrach. Many of the personal names are of early dates. Broenige and Anblamath are very near to the ogham forms: Broenionias and Anav1amattias. It is noteworthy that the names in the :MSrefer t.o persons in Co. What internal evidence there is, confirms. this view. As far &8 can be judged the persons and events named are all prior to the year 800. Those who are mentioned' in the Annals are: Aengus m. 308 JUBGA.RET E. DOBBS,

The bulk of the notes refer to members of the EoganachtCaisil and Corco Laigde families. The following table showstheir relationship and intermarriages. It also suggeststhat the chronicler was most interested in the Corco Laigdegenerations of the' sixth century. I have supplementedthose actuaJIy mentioned in the MS with names from othersources in the geneaJogies. Many place-names mentionedare from Cashel and Waterford. I have not been able toidentify them all.

The miscellany contains two lists of the vassaJ familiesof the Desi of Waterford. They are versions of the listsin Laud 610 (Erlu rn, p. 138) and Rawl. B 502, p. 133 (face.).I should be inclined to class the list in par. 12 as an olderform than the others on account of the early name-formswhich it contains.
