    Jim's bodyThe test showed that the drug had indeedremoved all the unwanted sugar. This was a

    great moment for Jim, his parents and Dr. Banting.The treatment continued and Jim became normalwithin a few days, regained his strength andhappily started working or his drawings. Dr.Banting h ad pulled Jim away from the jaw s ofdeath. Jim Havens l ived for another 40 years, andhis death at 60 had nothing to do with diabetes.
