Equipping all believers for the work of ministry Dr. André and Nola Pelser founded MBC after many years of study, life experience, church planting and missions. They have reached close to 100 nations around the world with the eternal Gospel of the Kingdom. They felt a need for a university that would fully equip believers for accurate lifestyles in the Kingdom of God. Most Bible Institutions train people only for the full time ministry, neglecting the other 90 % of the church’s workforce. Believing everyone is called into the ministry, but in different roles and capacities, led the founders to train believers for their specific work of ministry.

Vision of a Spirit filled University In 1989 Dr. Andre Pelser had a vision of establishing a spirit filled university, where students could be equipped for their life’s work. As a foundation for the university, he felt inspired to establish a Biblically patterned lifestyle course centred on the life of Christ, following in His footsteps. MBC has the Word of God as foundation, training disciples to hear from God (revelation knowledge) by developing a spiritual ear.

The church being the equipping centre for every believer functioning in the corporate body ministry of Christ.

Prophecy that drew Apostle André Pelser to MVBC Miracle Valley God said through various persons from many parts of the world through prophecy: ‘This is My valley. Here I have called My people. Yea, I have ordained it. When I laid the foundations of the world, I made this valley. Yea, I did walk in it, from mountain to mountain. From this valley My chosen shall go forth in My strength and My power unto the ends of the earth to carry My Gospel of salvation and deliverance confirmed by signs, wonders and miracles. They shall minister to the heathen.

“For here I shall walk with them and talk with them as with the apostles in days gone by. Here as they wait before me, they shall know the land where unto I have called them and the work which I have called them to do. From here they shall go to the ends of

the earth to preach My Gospel with signs and wonders.” We earth this Prophecy for MBC Students today!

On 21 January 1973 I read that prophecy on the back cover of a Miracle Long Playing Record and it drew me to Miracle Valley. I realised it was exactly what I needed in my life as a 21 year old. I sold my brand new car and used the money to purchase an air ticket and pay for my studies at MVBC in Arizona. I sat under the feet of Dr. Gray, Dr. Oldfield, Sven Blomberg and various other teachers who taught me the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and emphasised prayer through meditation, focussing on the inner life teachings of people like Madame Guyon, Mrs. Martha Wing Robinson, Dr. Waldvogel and others. God reminded me of the prophecy that drew me to Miracle Valley Bible College, Arizona (USA) “He is the light and it is written ‘in Him there is no darkness at all’. I wrote it in my Bible: ‘Here as you wait upon me in holiness, circle after circle (ever increasing), as we (wait on Him in this valley) I will walk in fellowship and talk with you as with the ‘Light-apostles’ of Life. Sinners walk about in ever increasing circles (old nature)…’ That same prophecy applies to all our students here are Miracle Bible College. People who base their entire philosophy upon the basis of sin become bolder to sin! On the other hand, we can grow in His light in ever increasing concentric circles. What I had gained by attending that College in the desert as a 21 year old! Dr Roy M Gray gave Apostle Andre Pelser the permission to continue with the material that is taught concerning Life of Christ and other Books of the Bible. That prophetic encouragement lives on in Miracle Bible College Cape Town today!

“Christ is being formed in the people.” The emphasis of the training is to see Christ formed in people. The Subject entitled “Life of Christ” by Dr. Roy M. Gray is a superb way to harmonize the Gospel accounts and to study Jesus’ life one journey at a time. Jesus Christ is the total concept of God seen through a human medium. He lived his earthly life in the power of the Holy Spirit, just as we are supposed to. He came to show us the way to live by the power of the Spirit with simple faith in our heavenly Father.

Choose your sphere We choose the sphere we want to walk around in (peripateao): either sin or holiness, either darkness of light. We develop habits to develop sin or increase the patterns of holy living in our lives. The theme of the first epistle of John is ‘The Saint’s Fellowship with God.’ The words having fellowship with one another implies that it is a two-way street: there is a reciprocity: when we have fellowship with God he has fellowship back with us! He manifested the life of God on earth. The word for manifest, ‘phaneroo’ is to make visible what has been hidden or unknown before. God’s nature became visible through the greatest life ever lived, the Life of Christ Jesus. He made the life God intends us to live visible to the human race through becoming human and walking amongst men. He is the Word of Life that became flesh.

Exit-Level Outcomes and Associated Assessment Criteria: 1. Students will learn to discern or hear God’s voice with an open Bible. 2. Work through the Canon of Scripture known as the Bible in 2 years. 3. Each subject is examined at the end of a term and assesses the student’s grasp for

the subject. 4. An assignment is to be handed in for each subject, often an essay based on a

contemporary statement that challenges the foundations of Christianity. This ensures that students understand the relevance of Christianity in today’s’ society.

5. Study and implement the characteristics of the Life of Christ. 6. Study and implement the doctrines of the Book of Acts. 7. Understand life skills stated in scripture such as “having all things in common.” 8. Experience disciplined training from experienced Church Ministers. 9. Classes” which culminate in a concert each term for the purpose of spreading the Gospel.

14. Each year students participate in a major dramatic production such as a Biblical Musical or Theatre piece.

15. Students are given the opportunity to gain valuable experience in different forms media productions such as short films, musical recordings and marketing.

16. Individuals are given the option to further their musical, dramatic and dance careers as well.

17. Receive training and experience in Outreach to schools promoting Christian Morals and Spirituality.

STUDY OPTIONS

A. Full Time Theology A full time Student will complete the MBC “Theological Learning Components” that last two years. Such students will participate in all the special events and Student duties, which include Children’s Church Work and Outreaches in conjunction with Harvester International Ministries. Compulsory to all full time students is also the PRODUCTION CLASSES assuring a well-rounded education in life skills and presentation.

Production Class Miracle Bible college offers students the unique opportunity to learn from professional musicians, actors, directors and dancers who have dedicated their lives to spread the Gospel through the performing arts. Due to the format of the Bible Training, the curriculum includes a “Production class” which is compulsory for all full time MBC students to attend. In these classes the following valuable skills are learned: voice production; mime; movement and dance; acting prophecy as well public speaking. Team work is emphasized as each new group is challenged to perform each term at the MBC Concert in front of a capacity crowd. Past students testify of overcoming fear of man, and moving out of their comfort zone of expression and MBC students have won awards, appeared on television and worked as performing artists corporately as a result. More importantly, these production classes have presented the Gospel to a new generation in a fun and meaningful way. Look out for an MBC production in a local church, school or theatre near you! Over the years we have seen the enrichment and enhancement of life skills that these classes have provided to all students and apostle Andre decided that al l should have the privilege of attending such classes. It’s time to get on stage for Jesus!

Apostolic and Prophetic Training Apart from the fact that resident MBC lecturers are apostles and prophets who function in their offices in the body of Christ locally and globally, students will also be exposed to guest Five Fold ministers from around the world. During the year, Harvester International Ministries will host apostolic and prophetic conferences and summits, which will give advanced training in the prophetic and apostolic functions in the church today. Students will automatically register for such events and will participate in the arrangements of such conferences. This is a very important course for those who want to operate more in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, specifically those who feel called into the prophetic function.

Pelser Media Video Production Course The Media Orbit that meets the needs of Harvester International Ministries presents regular courses to develop the skills of students that desire to work in the Media Industry, but also desire to serve in their local churches. The access that Pelser Media provides to digital media equipment allows course delegates to grow their skills while participating in live shoots for adverts, conferences, live shows, interviews, music videos and Sunday Sermons. Through our live streaming network students learn how to prepare for broadcasting live events and polish their skills under the supervision of experienced producers.

Produce an Interview. 10. Produce your own Advert. 11. Participate in a 3 Camera Shoot. 12. Learn about copyright laws surrounding Video Production. 13. Develop Business Strategies as a Producer 14. Become a Producer!

Assignments: 1. Investigate the elements of an Advert:

a. View the MBC Advert on YouTube Aje Pelser’s Channel. b. How many different scenes are in this one advert? c. How many different Musical pieces are used? d. Where was animation used? e. What type of transitions were used? f. Who owns the copyrighted material of this advert? g. How many views has this advert had to date? h. What Media platform is being used and which codec is best suited for the internet?

2. Produce and Advert. Make a short 30 second advert about 1 department in your church or

business. (Copyright alert: You need to own all the copyright on music and brands used. You do not own video clips you downloaded, and you do not own the rights to use any music on your media device! Get creative and make your own advert!)

3. Practical Exercise: Shooting an Interview

Set up, script and shoot an interview with someone in your local church. It should be a short

testimony that can be divided up into three parts: What was the problem? What brought about

the Change? What is the person’s life like now after the Divine intervention took place?

Edit the Interview yourself, add your own music if needed and master it for YouTube.

4. Write a short essay about producing a classic 3 Camera Show for release on multiple media platforms. A good example would be a talk show or a even a church meeting. 450 Words. Include a diagram of camera and lighting with props and actor/ audience positions. Participate in shooting Journeys of Christ at Harvester one Sunday morning – book a slot with Aje Pelser, course coordinator and include your notes about the experience in your essay.

Gala Evening: At the end of the course, at a date to be announced, the Course Attendees will be given the opportunity to showcase their work for friends and families. Showcase your work and celebrate with your peers! Invite friends and families and hand out your business card for future productions!

Additional Performing Arts classes (Technical) As an option to only full time students, certain Performing Arts classes may be specialized in during the year. This adds an additional 3-5 hours to a full time student’s program and is charged accordingly. Classes available are in Drama, Music and Dance. Schedules can only be confirmed after application and schedules are based on availability of lecturers and interest.

Access to a Wealth of Resources Full Time students at MBC Cape Town have access to many of the resources like audio recordings of each class, free wireless internet and web site support for research and assignments. Work stations are provided with passwords for easy access and students can also Skype or access Google Hangouts within the classroom so that others can share their experience at MBC during selected sessions. There is a growing library of books and Bible Dictionaries available at MBC to supplement the wealth of teachings available on www.harvesterchurch.net and within the MBC curriculum subject manuals. MBC Staff are available to share their notes with students through Google Drive and assignments can be uploaded during class. Pelser Media has produced DVDs and Productions that will enhance studies of the Life of Christ, the Book of Acts and other Biblical Topics, in addition to the growing library of plays and films about men and women of faith through the ages.

B. Part Time courses All part time students who take Theological subjects during the day at MBC will be grouped with the Full Time students in the aforementioned activities and will therefore be treated as full time students as well, to avoid alienation that may result from part time studies. Such students may only be excused if they supply a written excuse to the Dean of Studies, who will decide on the matter in advance of any such activities. Such students would not have access to the specialized Performing Arts training.

Bible Cells or Night School On selected evenings, subjects are presented for those who cannot attend class in the morning. People who work during the day can plan their Bible study in the long term. Some students have completed the Full time Bible Course over 5 - 10 years. Registration is payable per term or per year, forfeiting most of the day school privileges but graduation fees and the MBC Dinner are covered.

Part time classes for Performing Arts MBC provides part time technical classes for Drums, Piano, Vocal, Music Theory, Dance and Mime. These classes are additional for any full time or part time student interested and are billed separately. Classes are booked by the student with the relevant lecturer. Classes are only ½ hour to 45 minutes per week and needs to be booked and paid for up to 4 classes (music) to one term (mime & dance) minimum. External exams may be attempted according to the level of the student. Part time Technical Dance classes are subject to availability of the lecturer and interest.

The All Nations School of Worship has been established to equip worshippers in every style and musical genre to worship God in spirit and in truth. MBC Students will have access to to Worship Directors and band practise sessions where the All Nations School of Worship Curriculum is being developed. Harvester Reformational Church will be the future venue of the ANSOW and MBC will operate from there as well – watch this space!

C. Correspondence Courses

Course Content This includes a manual, exam and memorandum, assignment and memorandum/ suggestions; and issuing of reports to students. Students can complete correspondence studies via post or email. This is perfect for people who can’t afford to give up two years of their life to study the Bible, but who wish to work through the Bible at their own pace.

Tailor-made Training Correspondence Studies are ideal for Christian Workers that need an upgrade, businessmen, self-employed entrepreneurs, housewives, home-scholars, pensioners, students pursuing specialised careers who wish to be equipped to be effective in their sphere of influence.

Audio Recordings The good news for MBC Correspondence Students is that we now have Audio for their Subjects on request. This is a growing area of ht curriculum and we envision Live Streaming daily for MBC classes in the near future.

Pelser Media DVDs The Life of Christ DVD series is a valuable resource for students studying the greatest life ever lived. Pelser Media offers a catalogue full of resources that will supplement the Subject Manuals and Audio Recordings for a wide range of topics.

Web Resources In addition, the web sites dedicated to the archive of sermons and testimonies become available to students, ensuring that the next generation has what they need to continue and even finish he work Jesus Christ began!

Online Correspondence via email is a good option for professionals in any industry, and the PDF Subject manuals have easy Chapter navigation. With support from MBC lecturers via email and Skype, Correspondence College is becoming a viable option for students of the Word across denominations and geographical boundaries. The Word is growing and multiplying!

Suru Blatter (Swiss Mime Artist) gave a workshop on Mime at MBC and invited me to study and work with him. God had spoken to me before about going overseas. I have since travelled to Switzerland, Germany, India and Dubai working as a professional Mime artist. When God says He will do something you can trust that He will. God recently blessed us with our first house. For me it was a dream come true. Since I was a boy I wanted to have my own room because we were six kids, living in a two bedroom house. FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS 1. The entire course is conducted in English. A refresher course in English is available. 2. No certificates can be issued until all accounts are settled and required credits achieved. 3. All assignments will be marked and assessed by qualified teachers. (Students need to

supply their own paper. Stationery can be ordered through MBC.) 4. Should a student require tutoring in relation to a subject, he or she may speak to the class

captain or secretary of the bible school, who will notify the teacher if necessary. 5. In content the Night School, and Correspondence course is identical to the full time

course. Credits are therefore interchangeable. 6. A pass mark of at least 50% is required for any subject or assignment. 7. A student may rewrite once, should he or she fail; thereafter they must re-do the

subject. If through correspondence, the student must pay an administration fee of R50. 8. Examinations are written per subject per term. A student is passed on credits

acquired per subject. 9. A minimum of one assignment per subject is required and not more than two, depending

on the lecturer. All assignments should be handed in before the examination and must be passed before credits will be awarded for that particular subject.

10. A subject percentage of 85% and higher and a total average percentage of 80% and higher will be awarded and accredited with distinction. A total of more credits than the required amount for first, second and third year will be awarded and accredited with distinction.

11. Basic resources required are the Bible: New King James Version and optional: Strong's or Young’s concordance and Vine’s Expository Dictionary.

12. Tests will be written at the end of each quarter or at the completion of each subject. (All queries, problems or questions are to be directed to the class captain or secretary who will take the matter further.)

13. Legitimate life experiences can also serve as credits in certain subjects. 14. Student cards with a student number and photo will be issued once a term for all new

students.

FEES STRUCTURE 2017

Full time Day Classes

Hours are from 09:00 – 11:00, Monday – Friday. (Some outreaches might run over weekends.) Drama and Video Production on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 – 12:00 or later. Evening Schedules Vary according to Student Involvement in Local Ministry Full Time: Registration per term: R300 Price per subject: R595 Ten Subjects per term. So the total is R6250 per term and annual total is R25 000. The same registration prices for Ad-hoc / Bible Cell students and price per subject.

Part time Bible Cell & Evening Classes

Hours are once a week, 45 minutes per subject taken Annual Registration R300 Per Subject per term R595

Part time Music classes Instruments: Vocals, Piano, Guitar, Drum kit, Per Term 8 classes: 1 hour each R1520

External Exams are extra and payable to MBC at the right season.

Part time Dance & Mime Classes Technical Classes R1520 per term 45 minute classes once a week Minimum 1 term of classes to be booked and paid in advance
