1. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH AND PAYMENT TO
CLEVELAND MARRIOTT EAST HOTEL 39-20
WHEREAS, the East Cleveland City School District will contract with Cleveland
Marriott East Hotel to provide facilities and services for the senior class prom that
includes a reception, dinner and dance for Shaw High School seniors on May 22, 2020
at a cost not to exceed $12,100.00; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Board authorizes the Treasurer to encumber and pay an amount
not to exceed $12,100.00 for said services from the Senior Class Activity Fund-200.
Ayes: Ms. Westbrooks, Ms. Stedmire- Walls, Dr. Keenon, Dr. Rice, and Mr. Robinson.

2. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AGREEMENT WITH MCGREGOR AT
OVERLOOK TO SERVE AS A CLINICAL SITE FOR SHAW HIGH SCHOOL
HEALTH SCIENCE STUDENTS 40-20
WHEREAS, the East Cleveland City School District will enter into an agreement with
the McGregor at Overlook facility to provide a Clinical Site Experience that is a
requirement for certification for the Shaw High School, Health Science students, for the
2019-2020 school year at no cost to the District; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Board approves this mutual agreement between both parties for
the purpose of providing a Clinical Site for the Shaw High School Health Science
students.
Ayes: Ms. Westbrooks, Ms. Stedmire- Walls, Dr. Keenon, Dr. Rice, and Mr. Robinson.
Nays: None. The Motion carried.
3. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH AND PAYMENT TO THE
EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER 41-20
WHEREAS, the East Cleveland City School District will contract with the Educational
Service Center to serve as a conduit for Ohio Reading Corps to provide reading
intervention services for students in grades K-3 in the East Cleveland City School
District during the 2019-2020 school year; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Board authorizes the Treasurer to encumber and pay an amount
not to exceed $10,000.00 for said services from the General Fund-001.
Ayes: Ms. Westbrooks, Ms. Stedmire- Walls, Dr. Keenon, Dr. Rice, and Mr. Robinson.

4. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH AND PAYMENT
TO GIOVANNA EVANS 42-20
WHEREAS, the East Cleveland City School District will contract with Giovanna Evans
to provide mindfulness services for four hours a day four days a week
WHEREAS, the teachers during the professional development days and students during
their physical education will be engaged in 30 minutes of yoga, for the 2019-2020
school year; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that this Board authorizes the Treasurer to encumber and pay an amount not to exceed $30,000.00 for said services from the Wellness Grant–Fund 467. Ayes: Ms. Westbrooks, Ms. Stedmire- Walls, Dr. Keenon, Dr. Rice, and Mr. Robinson.
Nays: None. The Motion carried.
5. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH AND PAYMENT TO
UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY ASSOCIATION OF GREATER CLEVELAND, INC. 43-20
WHEREAS, this Agreement is made between United Cerebral Palsy Association of
Greater Cleveland, INC (UCPA) and East Cleveland City School District to provide
district wide Individualized Education Program services for the purpose of providing
occupational therapy in the public school setting to students with a wide range of
abilities from March 10, 2020 to June 30, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the District shall pay UCPA Eighty Dollars ($80.00) per hour of OTR, and
Sixty Dollars ($60.00) per hour of COTA service; and mileage of fifty-five cents
($0.55) per mile between District sites; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the East Cleveland City School District Board of Education accepts the
March 10, 2020 through June 30, 2020 United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater
Cleveland, Inc., Therapy Agreement and authorizes the Superintendent or her
representative to enter into said agreement with United Cerebral Palsy Association of
Greater Cleveland Inc., and further be it
RESOLVED, that this Board authorizes the Treasurer to encumber and pay an
amount not to exceed $121,150.00 for said services from the General Fund 001.
Ayes: Ms. Westbrooks, Ms. Stedmire- Walls, Dr. Keenon, Dr. Rice, and Mr. Robinson.

3. RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF FOUR SCHOOL BUSES 46-20
WHEREAS, the East Cleveland City School District is a member of the Ohio Schools
Council’s Cooperative Bus Purchasing Program, and
WHEREAS, the Ohio Schools Council on behalf of the East Cleveland City School
District received bids for the purchase of four (4) 65 passenger conventional school bus
bodies, and
WHEREAS, Rush Truck Centers of Ohio, Inc. based in Akron, Ohio is the successful
bidder, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the East Cleveland City School District
authorizes the purchase of four (4) new 65 passenger conventional buses so described as
2021 Integrated CE S Bus (PB105) for the amount of $81,233.00 each and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the East Cleveland City School District
authorizes the Treasurer to encumber an amount not to exceed $324,932.00 from the
Transportation Department’s FY20 budget account of the General Fund-001.
Ayes: Dr. Rice, Mr. Robinson, Ms. Stedmire- Walls, Dr. Keenon, and Ms. Westbrooks.
