Performance Report To monitor progress towards delivery of the Police and Crime Plan.

The Police and Crime Commissioner identified performance concerns to the Chief Constable in relation to the following specific areas of performance including burglary, Operation Viper including the impact on working practices, the re-offending rate of sex offenders, the detection rate for sex offences, shoplifting, violence without injury offences, racially or religiously aggravated offences, serious acquisitive crime, public confidence in the police, public order offences and the West Yorkshire Police value-for-money profile published by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC). The Police and Crime Commissioner was assured that the performance of West

b. Chris Rowley and Jayne Sykes to report on offender profiles for shoplifters to provide a greater understanding of the issue.

c. Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner to consider undertaking longitudinal academic research study into the effect of recording non-injury assaults and whether an outcome is that

Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Force to review the partnership agreement with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service around transportation of individuals detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act 1983.

The Police and Crime Commissioner was provided with an update on complaints received, referrals to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, suspensions/dismissals of police officers and police staff and periodic reviews of suspensions.
