It’s the first time in Parise’s career thathe has started a season with five goals in five games, and he becomes the first Wild player to start his time with the team with five goalsin five games. He joins Antti Miettinen (five goals in three games to start 2008-09) as the only Wild players to score five goals in the firstfive games of a season. He leads the NHL in shots (26), ranks T-2nd in goals, T-6th in scoring and sits at 199 career goals. He hastallied 30 or more goals in five of the last six seasons and owns 419 points (199-220=419), 179 PIM, a plus-58 rating and 38 game-winning goals in 507 career NHL contests. Todd Richards, 46, was named head coach of the Blue Jackets on 5/14/12 after leading the club to an 18-21-2 record (16-14-1 over the final 31games) in 2011-12. He joined CBJ prior to the season and took over as interim head coach on 1/9/12.  Richards compiled a 77-71-16 record asthe head coach of MIN from 2009-11 and served as an assistant with the SJS in 2008-09. After beginning his coaching career as an assistantwith the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals in 2002, he was head coach of the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from 2006-08, compiling a 98-49-13 mark and leading them to the 2008 Calder Cup Final.
