The Joy Greeters Ministry is the Ministry of first impression as we are the first faces that the congregants see as they enter the Sanctuary. We are responsible for joyfully greeting people as they arrive for our weekly services. We distribute the weekly church bulletin, sermon notes, and set the tone for those attending to enter into the Sanctuary with an attitude of worship and gratitude to God. We minister to each person we meet with a pleasant, kind smile and a desire to share the Love of Jesus!In addition to our primary duties, the Joy Greeters participate in various church and community outreaches:1) Battered Women's Shelter – Biannually, the Joy Greeters donate Blessing Bags to women and children who have been victims of domestic violence.2) Shredding Fundraiser – Twice per year, the Joy Greeters host a Shredding Fundraising event designed to raise funds to assist families who may be in need or during times of bereavement.3) Joy Greeters Academic Excellence Scholarship – The Joy Greeters Ministry donates $1,000 toward an academic scholarship for eligible students who meet certain criteria.
