  • 3 Andy I grew up in Brazil where my parents served as missionaries with New Tribes Mission. I understood Gods plan of salvation as a child and from that point on began to grow in my relationship with Jesus. As a result of visiting various Indian tribes and interacting with my local Brazilian friends, I was able to witness rsthand the spiritual darkness that most of them lived in. While still in high school I knew that I wanted to dedicate my life to reaching those who had never heard of Jesus. Aft er graduation I chose to attend New Tribes Bible Institute in order to prepare for full-time service.

Gina Growing up I was a spoiled rotten daughter of the King! I had it all, yet rejected Christs love for me. My life took a turn for the better when I was in a terrible car accident and should have died, yet God saved me for something else. Aft er many weeks of wrestling with God, I decided then that I would live my life for Him, who rescued me not only from physical death but from eternal death and separation from God. Christ died to give me life, for that I serve Him.

Together We met at New Tribes Bible Institute and knew fairly soon that we would be serving God together as a team. We were married in 1992 and the next 22 years

have own by. We have lived in Tennessee, Oregon, Missouri, Brazil and Th ailand. In that time we have earned three Bachelors and one Masters Degree. We have served as teachers, dorm parents, principal, librarian, coach and mentors. God has blessed us with three sons and the patience and wisdom to raise them. We have learned two new languages and have been privileged to make friends on three continents.

Our primary role has been to teach, mentor and disciple high school students both in the classroom and in one-on-one settings. Th e parents of our students have been involved in church planting, Bible translation, orphanage work, business as mission, discipleship and medical ministries. It has been our joy to know that as we follow Gods calling and disciple students we are also playing a role in reaching the world with the love of Christ.

We are now transitioning to a new role at New Tribes Bible Institute. We will continue to teach and disciple students. Our new focus will be training the next generation of Christian workers to reach their local communities and the world with the gospel. We are excited about this opportunity to work with college students who are passionate about taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.

    ABOUT US

  • Every 45 days, New Tribes Mission is beginning a church plant in an unreached people group.

Our desire is to see every tribe transformed by Jesus Christ in this generation.

Were redoubling our e orts. Were working with local churches to equip and send out more missionaries. Were re ning our methods. And were aiming at starting a tribal church plant every 30 days.

What is your part in that picture? We encourage you to discover your role in the work God is doing, and we urge you to consider partnering in a missionarys journey.

NTM ministers among unreached people groupsIn 2,500 of the worlds 6,500 people groups, there is no church, nor is there any work being done to establish a church.

NTM works in the tribal cultureand language Th ese tribes cultures and languages have isolated them from the gospel. Missionaries must learn their language and understand their culture in order to e ectively plant a church.

NTM presents foundational Bible teachingUnreached people groups have no concept of the God of the Bible. Chronological Bible teaching presents a foundation for understanding Jesus death and resurrection.

NTM establishes mature churchesFollowing the pattern seen in Acts as Gods people carried out the Great Commission, missionaries seek to establish mature churches that can take their rightful place as partners in the Great Commission.

MINISTRY We are eagerly anticipating our new ministry at

New Tribes Bible Institute. Th e motto at NTBI is Where Bible and Missions are One. We are excited to be a part of a ministry that goes beyond teaching knowledge and realizes that an accurate understanding of Biblical truth compels us to act as missionaries, as Gods ambassadors to our families, local communities and to the ends of the earth. When we look back on the students we knew when we attended NTBI from 1990-1992, we realize the impact that this training program has. Th e graduates of those two school years include tribal church planters in Papua New Guinea, eld leaders in Paraguay, Bible translators in Africa and Asia and teachers who serve the children of overseas missionaries. Th ere are also many people using the training they received at NTBI right here in America. Pastors, teachers, school principals, entrepreneurs, doctors, nurses, moms and dads. At NTBI we will be using our talents and abilities in a variety of ways. As dean of education and librarian we will be actively involved in the training that the students experience. Curriculum development, teacher supervision and training, research skills and library support are all vital to a quality education. We will have opportunities to lead Bible Studies, teach classes and speak in chapel. Social events, sports, music and one-on-one discipleship are also ways we will be able to speak truth into the lives of the students. Approximately 1/3 of the world has never heard of Jesus. Millions of people have no access to Gods

Word in their own language. Th ousands of people groups live in fear of evil spirits, oppression, poverty and death. Hundreds of students are being trained at New Tribes Bible Institute. Th is training will prepare them to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations. We praise God for the privilege of training the next generation of Christian workers who will proclaim His truth in America and to the ends of the earth.

    Dear Friends,

Many people today claim they know God. Th ey go to church. Th ey attend Bible studies. Th ey label themselves as Christians. But, I seldom meet people who read Scripture and desire to directly apply it to themselves. It is di cult to nd people in America who want to fellowship in the su erings of Christ, to love their enemies, to care for the widow and orphan, or to do the messy work of discipleship.

However, over the last ten years, I have watched Andy and Gina Templeton serve Jesus Christ with a depth missing in the modern Christian. Th ey seriously consider Scripture and honestly assess their own walk with Christ. Th ey have put the American Dream aside oft en and instead have chosen the hard and di cult path of serving others. Th ey have rolled up their sleeves and invested in others by building discipling relationships. Th ey have willingly and sacri cially served others at their own expense nancially and emotionally. On numerous occasions they have closed their lives in the States, lled shipping containers, pushed travel-weary children through customs, and waved tearfully goodbye to family in order to express their faith and love for Jesus.

Today, Andy and Gina serve at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Although they no longer serve in a hot distant climate, they continue to be engaged in the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Th ey seek to disciple the next generation of young people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. I cannot think of a more important ministry in this critical hour of world history.

Would you consider supporting Andy and Gina in this vital ministry of discipleship? Your prayers and nancial support will help Andy and Gina help the church of Christ o er the relevant hope of Jesus Christ to the whole world.

    In Christ,Pastor Ron Christiansen
