Preschool
Our Preschool, “The Lighthouse”, will have its first day August
24! We still have room for a few more children. This is for
children 6 months to 5 years old. Get in touch with Sandra
Shaneyfelt if you have any questions. In the commons area,
there is a basket for supplies for this fall. The Lighthouse needs
copy paper, markers, Clorox wipes, construction paper, crayons,
hand sanitizer, glue sticks, wet wipes, and Lysol. We appreciate
the work the ladies put into this ministry. Let us get behind the
preschool and fill that basket!
Guest/Member Cards
When we came back to the building in June for our Sunday
morning worship, we paused using our guest/member cards.
We will resume using the cards again this Sunday morning.
Just simply fill the card out and leave it in the pew. Jerrie will
pick them up on Monday.
Old Auditorium Livestream
I want to remind everyone that we are livestreaming our worship
service in the old auditorium during our worship service on
Sunday mornings. We encourage you to use this room. Each
week we are having more people to come back to our worship
service on Sunday mornings. Since we have our pews taped off
every two pews, this is going to fill our auditorium in the coming
weeks. In the future we may have to tape off our pews every
other pew. This will still give us the 6 feet distance that we
need. Also, the old auditorium can be used as an overflow
room.
Phillip
Because of Covid-19, we are meeting for
Sunday Morning Worship at 10am only. Livestream Worship is available if you are unable to attend.
Livestream is also available in the Old Auditorium.
5 pm Sunday Bible Classes are Livestream Only! Three Classes: Adult Class or Adult Zoom Class
and Children’s Zoom Class

Here we are again, the beginning of a new school year. This one is unlike any other we've seen in some time. Instead of two months, most have been out of school for 5 months. Not a lot has gone into trying to remember the things we were taught last year (probably, haha). So in addition to learning new protocols and new ways of doing things because of COVID we may need some extra time re-learning some of the things we have forgotten. In other words we are going to have to hit the books like never be-fore, to get back to where we want to be, it's a new beginning for something that used to be old hat for us. It's the same thing in our spiritual life. These COVID induced absences from worship and Bible study may have caused some of us to forget what we used to be proficient in. As we move back to normalcy in the church, we have to approach it the same way. If we've fallen behind, we have to hit the books (His Word) like never before! A new begin-ning for something that used to be old hat. In Ephesians 4:22-24 the Bible says this...To put off your old self, which belongs to your for-mer manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Our new beginning in this day and age may be putting off old habits (lack of study) which have become the norm for us during this time of isolation from our spiritual family. The good news is if we have forgotten some things, through Him, we can be re-newed and be more like minded with God through studying His Word like our lives depended on it, because they do! Are you ready for a new beginning in Christ? In Him, Todd

I want to thank my wonderful church family for all the kind words, beautiful cards of encouragement, phone calls and the delicious food we received during my illness.
