Benediction

“Are You Washed In The Blood”Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow’r?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior’s side? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?Do you rest each moment in the Crucified? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;

There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,Oh, be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

RefrainAre you washed in the blood,

In the soul-cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Registration is open now for those that will attend. The cost is $25.00 and include conference materials, continental breakfast and lunch.  Sunday, we will have two services: 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. with guest preachers at both. †Vacation Bible School (June 18 - June 22) - The MSBC VBS will be held Monday, June 18th - June 22nd, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Please consider volunteering in support of a week of fun as we learn more about God.  We have many areas where we need assistance; especially teachers.  Please contact Janelle Ashe ([email protected]) or Chris Ashe ([email protected]), 703-534-2997 to volunteer or to learn more about VBS.  We also encourage you to start planning now for who you will invite and bring to VBS for one or more nights - we have something for every age.

MEMBERS – Please remember to use an offering envelope for your tithes and offerings.   Some of you are giving checks without an envelope.  If you do not use an envelope, the Finance Ministry will not be able to provide you with a year-end financial statement of your contributions.  Envelopes are available in the Trustee and Finance office.

†If you are unable to participate in the Sunday morning giving of your tithes and offering, you can take advantage of the other methods of giving as provided by the church.  You can drop your offering envelope in the late box located outside the sanctuary door closest to the Media room.  You

can take advantage of online giving by downloading the free Givelify mobile donation app from the App Store or Google Play (locate Maple Springs Baptist Church to donate).  You can also mail your offering to the church.  If you have any questions, please stop by the Trustee’s Office.

†Church Administrative Forms are now available on the church website (www.msbcmd.org). Click the resources tab and then Administrative Forms. Once finance related forms are completed (to include required signatures), these forms can be mailed to [email protected] for processing. Any questions, contact Trustee Charlie Fields, 301-868-0556, [email protected] or Tina Hunter, 301-943-3538, [email protected].

†Child Protection Policy:  MSBC is in the second phase of implementing our child protection policy.  The second phase requires a national background check on each individual that works with youth below the age of 18.   All church members that have reviewed and signed an acknowledgement form on our child protection policy should go to the following site http://eepurl.com/cW0zVz and complete the form.  MSBC will use this information to send you an email that allows you to input the required information to “Protect My Ministry,” a national company, that MSBC has worked with, that conducts background checks for churches.  There will be no cost to you.  MSBC will not have access to any of your personal information, but we will receive the results of the background checks.  If you have any questions, please see Trustee James Ballentine at 301-297-7056.

Pastor Jerome (Sam) Tarver Sermon Scripture –Am I A Thief?Sermon Title – Malachi 3:8-12

Malachi 3:8-12 (NIV)

8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings.

9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty.

12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the LORD Almighty.
