The Official Board will meet on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. ALL Board Members are asked to be present and on time.
†Attention All Church Leaders and Officers!! All church officers, ministers, deacons, deaconess, trustees, teachers and ministry officers are required to attend Leadership Training on Saturday, February 3, 2018, in the Myles Fellowship Hall. The officers for the C.A.M. Youth Chorale and Jr. Ushers do not have to attend but the Advisors for these ministries are required to attend. This exciting, informative and interactive training will be led by Pastor Sam Tarver. Registration and continental breakfast starts at 8:30 am. The Leadership Training will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The last hour of training will be a church meeting. Everyone is requested to be on time and plan to attend for the entire duration. Contact Dr. Cynthia Parker-Bolden, if you have questions (301-459-3359).
†Please join us during the month of March 2018 as we celebrate the installation of our Pastor Reverend Jerome (Sam) Tarver and the 55th Anniversary of Maple Springs Baptist Church. There will be guest preachers every Sunday at the 10:30 a.m. morning worship services and each Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m., for the pre and post-installation Services.
We will have a grand banquet on Friday, March 16th, 2018 at the Camelot in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Tickets are $55.00 if purchased in full by February 25th, 2018. All tickets purchased after that date are $65.00. Tickets will be on sale in the Fellowship Hall following Sunday morning worship services. MINISTER’S OUTREACHSCHEDULE PASTOR’S CORNER
On Saturday, March 17th, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. we will have the Official Installation Service of Reverend Jerome (Sam) Tarver, 4th Pastor of Maple Springs Baptist Church. Every member is invited to join in this history making event. Save the dates and start preparing now for what God has in store for us.
Jr. Church is in session in the Myles Fellowship Hall. All youth ages 4-12 and Jr. Officials are welcome to attend.
†Seeking Volunteers: The Trustee Ministry is often in need of volunteers for special projects around the church. If you are interested in assisting with these occasional special projects (moving furniture, fire watch, voluntary security, special functions and others), please contact Trustee Cheryl Mackey on 240-533-2156.

†The Men’s Ministry of Maple Springs Baptist Church is partnering with Forte Foot Baptist Church to assist
veterans, men and women who need suits to have a second chance to obtain viable employment with career opportunities. We need your support, please bring your donated suits to the church by this Saturday, January 27, 2018 between 9:00 AM and 12 Noon. This is a way we can assist veterans as they seek help entering the job force.

†MEMBERS – Please remember to use an offering envelope for your tithes and offerings. Some of you are giving checks without an envelope. If you do not use an envelope, the Finance Ministry will not be able to provide you with a year-end financial statement of your contributions. Envelopes are available in the Trustee and Finance office.
†If you are unable to participate in the Sunday morning giving of your tithes and offering, you can take advantage of the other methods of giving as provided by the church. You can drop your offering envelope in the late box located outside the sanctuary door closest to the Media room. You can take advantage of online giving by downloading the free Givelify mobile donation app from the App Store or Google Play (locate Maple Springs

†Church Inclement Weather Policy - Maple Springs Baptist Church (MSBC) follows the Prince George’s County Public School System’s Inclement Weather Policy. When the schools are delayed or closed; the church will follow the same procedure. The Trustee Ministry will determine Sunday openings and delays. The information will also be available on the church’s website.
Facilities Use Form and Weekend Church Operating Hours: Ministries please remember to submit the completed Facilities Use Form (located across from the Trustee’s office) two weeks prior to your scheduled event. Our support staff custodians are contracted employees of National Service Contractors, Inc., and have been instructed to adhere to the floor plans submitted by you to the Trustee Ministry. As a reminder, our hours of operation on Saturdays are 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and Sunday hours are 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Please adjourn your meetings accordingly so that staff has adequate time to secure the properties. †MSBC Senior Ushers’ Ministry –The history of ushering can be traced back to the very beginning of man’s existence. Throughout the scriptures, we can find ushers being called “watchmen” (II Samuel 18:24-27) and “doorkeepers” (I Chronicles 15:23-24).
