OUR 2017 MISSION STATEMENT: “WE WILL ARISE AND LIT THE WORLD

WITH THE GOSPEL” (Daniel 12:3)

YOUTH CHAPELTHE MOTHER'S BEAUTYText: Proverbs 31:10-31

Today's passage details the character of a woman of genuine worth who is very industrious and provides so well for her family, that both her husband and children are proud of her. Because of her industry and reputation, her husband is also highly respected in the community. The place of mothers in the world is very significant, especially with regard to the influence they can have over the lives of their children and by extension, their communities. Godly mothers in scripture include Hannah, who gave her only child to the Lord and was blessed with five more children, having been barren for so long. We are also challenged by the godly influence of Timothy's grandmother, Lois, and his mother Eunice, over his young life (2 Tim. 1:5). Though his father was Greek and probably pagan, that godly influence brought him to Christ and he eventually became Paul's son in the faith and the Pastor of the one of largest Churches of the Early Church, the Church in Ephesus. As we celebrate our mothers today, we pray that God will help them to aspire to the inner beauty of the woman in today's reading, so that they too can be godly influences over their families and wives of good reputation of whom their husbands will be proud.

Happy Mothers' Day to all our beautiful mothers!!!

Almighty Father will bless all our mothers everywhere and help them to be godly influences over their families and society at large, to His honour and glory, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Happy Anniversary!!!
