.........................................................................................................................................................................  This horse show is approved by and conducted under the rules of the American Miniature Horse Association, Alvarado, TX.  All horses must be registered with AMHA.  A COPY OF BOTH SIDES OF THE REGISTRATION PAPERS OF EACH HORSE ENTERED MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE SHOW CHAIRMAN WITH EACH HORSE ENTRY.  Entries received without a copy of both sides of the registration papers will be held pending until such papers are submitted. NOTE >>>  Along with your registration papers, please send a copy of your Stallion Testicular Report for any senior stallion entered.  This will save time when checking in.  All youth and amateur exhibitors must provide a copy of their current AMHA Youth or Amateur card with their entries and provide such #’s on the front side of the entry blank.  Applications for both these numbers will be available at the Show Office.  Please acquaint yourselves with current AMHA rules concerning youth and amateurs.  The Show Manager reserves the right to settle and determine all questions, differences and disputes arising out of or connected with or incident to this Show within the boundaries of AMHA’s current show rules, and to cancel or combine classes.

SHOW HOURS The show will not start prior to 1:00 am Saturday and at 8:00 am on Sunday. Lunch & dinner breaks, and warm‐up 

times will be announced as warranted throughout the show weekend.  Security will be on the grounds at night, but 

please be sensible with your belongings, as show management, SWMHC, Extraco Events Center, or AMHA are not 

responsible or liable for any loss damage or injury. 

 HEALTH REGULATIONS 

The State of Texas Animal Health regulations for ALL HORSES require a Negative Coggins (EIA) test within 12 months 

of the show; horses outside of Texas must be accompanied by a health certificate current within 45 days. A health 

certificate is NOT required if you are within the state of Texas. DO NOT SEND THESE DOCUMENTS WITH YOUR 

ENTRIES. 

 PRE‐ENTRIES CLOSE: APRIL 27, 2016 

REGULAR ENTRIES CLOSE April 27, 2016. Post/Late entry fee will be charged for entries not postmarked by this date, 

of $10 per horse. 

CHECK IN & MEASUREMENT OF HORSES 

Check in and measuring will begin Thursday, May 5th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Measuring will resume Friday & 

Saturday at 7:30 am and again at 7:30 am on Sunday. If you can't measure within these hours, contact the Show 

Manager. ALL Entry materials MUST be in the Show Office before measurements will be made. ALL horses entered 

MUST be measured before they may be allowed to show. 

 STALLS: $55.00 each for entire show 

Stalls are box stalls (10’x10’) metal construction, metal bars on concrete floors. No more than 2 horses per stall; 

stallions ages 2 and older MUST be stalled separately. NO BEDDING IS INCLUDED WITH STALLS & NO OUTSIDE 

BEDDING MAY BE BROUGHT ONTO THE SHOW GROUNDS. Shavings will be available from the facility at reasonable 

rates. Horses may be brought for sale, but pay the appropriate stall fee and meet health requirements. Stall 

decorations are encouraged.  Please help keep the facility clean by putting trash in the barrels and manure in the 

dumpsters. 

 Stalls will be available at NOON, Thursday, May 5th. All stalls must be vacated by 9:00 p.m. Sunday, May 8th.   Those 

exhibitors wanting to arrive earlier or stay later must make advance arrangements with Show Management  and 

additional fee of $20/stall/night will apply. Sunday night stay over’s will pay $20.00 per stall used, including tack 

stalls. 

JUDGE’S EVALUATION CARDS Judge’s Evaluation Cards will be available at the Horse Show Office.  

REFUND POLICY The SWMHC will give a full refund if entries are cancelled in writing by the closing date of the horse show. If entries are cancelled in writing to the show manager and accompanied by a veterinarian’s or doctor’s certificate of inability to show after the pre‐entry closing date, but before the official start of the show on Saturday, May 7th, all fees other than the stall and office fee will be refunded. After the official start of the show, there will be no refunds. Substitution of a horse will be accepted with no late fee.

COMMERCIAL EXHIBITORS The fee for commercial exhibitors is per day depending on the size of the booth and use of electricity. Tables & chairs are not provided. Vendor spaces will be available as follows on a per day basis; $25 per day – 10’ x 10’ display or tent with no electricity $35 per day – 10’ x 10’ display or tent with electricity $50 per day – 10’ x 20’ trailer with electricity $75 per day – 10’ x 40’ trailer with electricity Please call Patty Liarakos, Show Secretary 210‐912‐8679 for Vendor contract or more information.

Hwy. 6 from the West ‐ Take Bosque Blvd. Ext, turn left on Bosque to Lake Air, Extraco Events Center is on the right.  

I‐35 from the South ‐ Take New Road Exit, turn left on 

New Road, go to Bosque and turn left. Go past the 

Extraco Events Center and turn right on Lake Air, 

Extraco Events Center is on the right. 

I‐35 from the North ‐ Take Valley Mills Dr. Exit. Turn 

right on Valley Mills Dr. Turn right on Lake Air, Extraco 

Events Center is on the right. 

Hwy. 84 East ‐ Take Loop 340 North and follow 

directions as coming in from the North on I‐35. 

Hwy. 6 from the South ‐ Stay on Hwy 6 towards 

Meridian. Cross over I‐35 and Hwy 84, exit Bosque 

Blvd. and turn right. Extraco Events Center is 1 1/2 

miles on left. 

Hwy. 77 from the South ‐ About 1/2 mile past the intersection of Hwy. 77 and Loop 340, turn left onto Garden Dr. will turn into New Road. Take New Road to Bosque Blvd. Turn Left on Bosque Blvd. Go past the Extraco Events Center and turn right on Lake Air, Extraco Events Center is on the right.

The cost of sponsoring a regular class is $10.00 and $15.00 for a championship class. Sponsors will be acknowledged during the Show and are welcomed to present the ribbons for their classes.

RV HOOKUPS 

Full hookups are available with water & electric for $30 per night. Payment is available on the entry forms. 

CONCESSION STAND will be open on Friday ‐ Sunday during show hours. DOGS MUST be kept on a leash or penned at all times; and animals are NOT allowed in the concession area. SMOKING is NOT permitted inside the office, barns or arena areas. 

SHOW AWARDS 1st – 6th place will receive a Rosette. Champions will receive a streamer. 

Supreme Halter Champion will receive a Special Prize Award sponsored by Frankie & Darl Nigh of Lazy N Farms.

1. Copy of EACH horse’s AMHA registration papers, FRONT & BACK.

2. A copy of your Stallion Testicular Report for all Senior Stallions

3. If you are showing a leased horse, be sure your papers indicate lessee (with AMHA stamp).

4. Copy of current (2016) AMHA Youth/Amateur card. (May be applied through AMHA or the show office)

Unfortunately, due to a large number of returned checks at recent shows and increasing fees at banks, the 

Southwestern Miniature Horse Club will have to charge a $40.00 return check fee on all checks returned.

I, the undersigned, wish to participate in SWMHC Minis Horsin’ Around Show M.H.S event on May 7-8, 2016. I understand that during portions of this event will be in close proximity to one or more horses under circumstances which may expose me to some risk of injury, because of the nature of horses, the facility, and the activities in which I will be engaged.

In the consideration of the SWMHC allowing my participation in this event, I, on behalf of myself, and my heirs, administrators, personal representatives, assigns and children and spouse, if any, do hereby agree to hold harmless, release and discharge SWMHC, which includes its officers, directors, members, agents, representatives, affiliates and insurers, of and from all claims, demands, causes of action and legal liability whether known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, due to the ordinary negligence of SWMHC. I shall not bring any claims, demands, actions or causes of action against SWMHC for any damage or loss due to bodily injury, death or property damage arising out of my participation in this event.
