Praxair can deliver nitrogen product to you via a manned Mobile Pumping Unit based on any combination of the following conditions:

• Flow rates to 23,786 m3/h (840,000 scfh) per unit

• Temperatures from -195º to 315 ºC (-320º to 600 ºF)

• Pressures to 68,950 kPa (10,000 psi)

• Volumes: unlimited

Praxair can also support certainapplications with tube trailer and

trailer-mounted vapourizer fleetsdepending on pressure, flow andsafety considerations. Praxair’soperators are trained in refineryservice applications. At-A-Glance: PraxairApplicationsPurging and Inerting. During unitshutdowns, Praxair uses nitrogen to safely purge potentially explosive hydrocarbon and air mixtures from vessels, transfer lines and equip-ment, leaving an inert atmosphere for shutdown and start up

activities. Accelerated Cool-down. Whether it is a straight forward once-throughcool-down or liquid nitrogen injection using Praxair’s NiCool® Service, we can help you reduce cool-down time from days to just hours. In the NiCool Service the cooling capacity of liquid nitrogen lowers the temperature of the recycle gas stream, resulting in more efficient cooling and lower nitrogen consumption.

Inert Entry Support. Praxair is one of the industry leaders in safety and reliability for your inert entry support operations that require an independent nitrogen supply with our TMVU-100 vapourizing unit.

Minimize Down Time for Refinery TurnaroundsPraxair Services Canada Inc. (“Praxair”) provides nitrogen pumping services for a host of refinery turnaround applications.

The non-mechanical TMVU-100is able to provide constant flow ofnitrogen without the potential ofunexpected supply disruption thatmay occur with other mechanicalequipment arrangements.

Hot Nitrogen. Our pumping unitscan perform jobs typically beyondthe scope of plant nitrogen supplies and are capable of providing high-flow, high pressure, and hightemperatures to cut downtimedramatically for accelerated vesseldrying and for fast, effectivehydrocarbon stripping for catalystregeneration and activation.

Drying. To help prevent productcontamination, corrosion, and riskof explosions, Praxair can pumpnitrogen through systems andpipelines prior to startup. Thisallows removal of air and residualmoisture within the systems.

SANDJET® Furnace Tube Decoking.We can help remove coke andinorganic scale deposits using non-abrasive cleaning material propelled by dry, inert nitrogen gas. In our SANDJET system, cleaning par-ticles travel through the furnace tubes at high velocity and dislodge coke deposits. This process can befaster than traditional pigging orsteam air methods and there is nomoisture left in the tubes.

SANDJET Pipeline Cleaning.The SANDJET Service is ideal forpreparing piping for a service thatrequires a high degree of cleanli-ness or dryness. A pipeline segment is rapidly cleaned, dried and left with an inert atmosphere in onestep saving both time and money.

Hydrogen. When reformers are taken off-line or as other spot hydro-gen needs arise, Praxair has the hydrogen supply capability you need. We can provide 99.99% pure hydro-gen via our Portable Liquid Hydrogen vapourizer at pressure up to 895 kPa (130 psig) and flows up to 4,815 m3/h (170,000 scfh). We can also provide smaller amounts of hydrogen via tube trailers at pres-sures up to 6,895 kPa (1,000 psig).

Engineering Modeling. To provideyou with an estimate of your turn-around needs, Praxair will assistin providing a detailed engineeringevaluation. With a few key piecesof information, Praxair can modelreactor cool-downs, heat-ups, vessel purging, vessel drying, SANDJET furnace tube decoking, and any additional pipeline nitrogen needs you may have.
