Step 1Cut out the circle template above and trace onto green card. Cut around the spiral shape.

Step 3Decorate with glitter glue or coloured pencils.

Step 2Trace the star template onto yellow card and cut out two stars.

Step 4Tie a piece of ribbon in half and glue between the stars and then glue to the top of the spiral.

To make the tree:

Step 1Start with a square of paper and fold it in half diagonally and then unfold. Repeat in the opposite direction to create an X. Fold all the points in to meet in the centre.

Step 2Open out one of the points and then fold it so that the point meets the previous crease. Fold back along the crease to make a square again.

Step 3Open out the opposite point and then fold back on itself so that the point extends beyond the square by 1.5cm. Fold in half as shown.

To make Sprout the dog:

Step 4Open out the front flap so the point is extended, then fold back diagonally along the dotted line shown in image a. It should now look like image b. To finish this side, fold the point down along the crease line.

Step 5Turn over and repeat step four, mirroring the actions. Then pull out the fold from underneath the dog’s head to create a snout. Draw on a nose and pair of eyes and glue down sides if desired.
