Springfield 1903A1-A3-SPORTER

1903

This bolt-action rifle was adopted by the U.S. Army

in 1903. Officially used in World War I, it was repla-

ced in 1936 by the M1 Garand, but it was also used

in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam

War. Today, it is still used in shooting competition

and is a favorite with collectors.

The Paratrooper is a lighter and more powerful ver-

sion of the M1 Carabine expressly requested by the

American Air Arms troops. This firearm was used du-

ring the Vietnam and South Korea wars. Today, many

U.S. Air Force battalions use the M1A1 Para as ser-

vice weapon or for training. This light carabine is an

icon than cannot miss in the house of every collector.

The M14 replaced the M1 Garand. The U.S. Army was

using it by 1959 and continued until 1965, being the

last American battle rifle produced. It fires caliber 7.62

NATO. The M14 and its several variations are still very

for hunting, shooting, and in various competitions.
