Successful business people understand this concept and utilize it totheiradvantage.
Whenyoubegintobemindful,youseethateverythingthatyoudohasmerit.Youalsorealize that no matter what you are doing, you are capable of doing it better. Inbusiness, this means that you begin to pay closer attention to every task. It’sapartofourgeneticheritageandoneeverybusinessownerneedstoembrace.
Theproblem is that somepeople perceive competition as a somewhat undesirabletrait.Thisisbecausethesepeoplelookatcompetitionasablackandwhiteissue.Itisseenaseitherawinatallcost,takenoprisonerspropositionorasawatereddownandbarelydiscernibleversionofitself,whereconsensusandagreementaretheorderoftheday.Thisimposedpolaritymasksthetruenatureandpowerofcompetition.Inreality, competitiveness is neither a black nor white extreme. The reason that there are somanyold sayingsabout persistence is twofold: First, it’s a really important element in success andsecond,itanelementofsuccessthatgivesalotofpeoplealotoftrouble.Somethingthat’sas importantandtroublesomeaspersistencedeservesa lotofclichédsayingsandalotofattention.
