• MindManager 12 for Mac is now fully supported on new macOS 10.15 Catalina.

Improved experience of creating linked map

• Issues related to sending topic as New Linked Map has been resolved.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR VERSION 12.1.190

• Mac OS X 10.13 (High Sierra) to 10.15 (Catalina) • 250 MB available disk space • 1024 x 768 or greater display resolution • Additional requirements for certain features:

RESOLVED ISSUES IN VERSION 12.1.190 General Mapping: Issue: Sending a topic as New Linked Map is not providing default name to the new map. Resolution: Fixed. Name of the New Linked Map would be same as topic text of selected topic. Issue: Sending a topic as New Linked Map results into broken links between both maps. Resolution: Fixed. Selected topic and New Linked Map will have links to navigate between both maps. Issue: Topic content is not saved when sending a topic as New Linked Map.

Resolution: Fixed.

KNOWN ISSUES IN VERSION 12.1.190 General Mapping: Issue: Map cannot be saved directly to Mindjet Files using file “Save as” dialogue. Workaround: User will need to save the map locally first and then upload it to Mindjet Files using Mindjet Files option inside File menu.

Issue: Template, Theme and Map Parts cannot be saved directly to default directory inside Application Support.

Workaround: Manually navigate to respective folders located at Macintosh HD > Users > UserName > Library > Application Support > Mindjet > Mindjet MindManager > 12 > English > Library > Choose the folder you are looking for and save.



RESOLVED ISSUES IN VERSION 12.1.183 General Mapping: Issue: “Bold & Italicize” font controls cannot be applied to individual words inside topic text. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: In notes, hyperlink replaces selected text using the Insert menu. Resolution: Fixed. Selected text is converted into hyperlinked text.

RESOLVED ISSUES IN VERSION 12.1.177 General Mapping: Issue: Quick add handles are still displaying after deselecting "Show Topics Quick Add Handles" in MM preferences.

Resolution: Fixed. Quick Add handles can now be disabled. Issue: Borders are not placed correctly inside print preview dialog, which results in the Header and Footer to not print.

Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Default boundary styles cannot be set. Resolution: Fixed. Choose a specific boundary style then go to Format menu and choose “Set as Default Format”.

Issue: The 'Show fill color gradients' option in MindManager preferences is not working. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Keyboard Shortcut to enter Decision topic is not working in Flowchart and Concept maps. Resolution: Use Cmd+Enter to insert Decision topic. Issue: Text Box object is not resized automatically to accommodate long text. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Additional Progress and Priority icons are named as "Marker Name” by default in the inspector. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Keyboard navigating using the arrow keys is not working in the Free Form map layout. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Mixed Font color displays after applying certain map themes. Workaround: Fixed.

macOS Dark Mode:



Issue: Text cursor disappears while editing text inside the topic when Dark Mode is enabled. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Footer text is not visible when printing in dark mode. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Toolbar button Hover state is not consistent when in Dark Mode is enabled. Resolution: Fixed.

Filters: Issue: Topics matching filter criteria are not properly filtered when “Match: all” condition is applied. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: All topics with different tags are not filtered when "Any" condition is applied. Resolution: Fixed.

Issue: Subtopics that do not match filter criteria are not hidden when using Show option. Resolution: Fixed. Subtopics are now properly hidden.

Miscellaneous:

Issue: Map changes cannot be saved if XMind was installed prior to installing MindManager. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Notes in XMind files are not imported when converting the diagram to a MindManager file. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: macOS system notification indicating MindManager is not optimized for 64-bit operating systems may pop up from time to time.

Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Sending a topic, that has relative link, as “New Linked Map” results in broken link. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Unable to add or update property value after adding property to a topic. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Unpublishing a map may fail when Unpublishing via the publish context menu. Workaround: Fixed.



KNOWN ISSUES IN VERSION 12.1.177

SmartRules: Issue: Rules containing identical triggers or effects can be entered, which may cause conflicts. Workaround: Create SmartRules with unique triggers and effects. Issue: After applying a Topic Style as an effect, the topic shape cannot be changed. Workaround: None.

Mapping: Issue: Topic content is not saved in the new map that is created while sending topic to New Linked Map. Workaround: Save the newly created linked map again before closing it. Issue: Unable to set default format for relationship. Workaround: None.

Filter: Issue: Unable to filter map based on tags inside General Tags group. Workaround: Create a new tag group, re-tag topics with tags from that group and then apply the filter. Issue: Callout topics which do not match filter criteria are filtered. Workaround: None.

Properties: Issue: In pre-filled templates, the currency type in formulas cannot be changed. Workaround: None. In MindManager 12 for Mac, formulas are recalculated when property values change but cannot be defined or modified.

Issue: Unable to add properties to multiple selected topics. Workaround: Apply properties to topics individually. Issue: Properties cannot be hidden on a topic when added as an effect through SmartRules. Workaround: None. Miscellaneous: Issue: MindManager stops responding while moving a map that is currently open to new folder.



Workaround: Close the map before moving the file. Issue: Image object dimensions are not displayed when resizing an image. Workaround: Open format object dialog by right clicking the image object and adjust the height and /or width.

RESOLVED ISSUES IN VERSION 12.0.161 General Mapping: Issue: Tag with same name belonging to different tag groups is not properly added to the topic. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Zoom controls are not always visible when viewing large maps. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Unable to drag and drop Map Parts from the task pane. Resolution: Fixed.

Task Management: Issue: Holidays are ignored while adding task information. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Removing the start and end date of a dependent task should remove any dependency on that task.

Resolution: Fixed

Objects: Issue: Unable to move multiple selected objects. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Unable to insert text immediately after adding a Text Box. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Unable to see the selection frame while hovering over an Object Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Transparency value of shapes is reset to 100% while updating fill color from the format task pane. Resolution: Fixed.

Miscellaneous: Issue: MindManager for Mac may crash when opening maps in Mindjet Files. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: Map Themes cannot be applied to Flowchart diagrams.



Resolution: Fixed. Issue: MindManager for Mac crashes while using the ‘Find’ feature in Flowchart maps. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: MindManager for Mac crashes on double clicking a topic while Format menu is expanded. Resolution: Fixed. Issue: MindManager for Mac crashes while moving a topic with large attachments. Resolution: Fixed.



KNOWN ISSUES IN VERSION 12.0.161 SmartRules: Issue: SmartRules are not applied to recovered maps if MindManager crashes. Workaround: Save, close, and reopen the Map. Issue: Unable to insert topic inside Shapes or Smart Shapes using mouse double-click. Workaround: Lock the objects by right clicking the Background and insert or drag & drop the topic from mapping canvas.

Mapping: Issue: Mixed Font color displays after applying certain map themes. Workaround: Use Copy/Paste Format feature to update all fonts to be the same color. Issue: Topic text is appearing cropped when markers are added after applying Match Width. Workaround: Change affected topics back to Automatic Topic Size (Found in the Inspector Under Format/Style) then use the Match Width command on those topics again.

Dark Mode: Issue: While MindManager is open and switching from Light Mode to Dark Mode, users may see User Interface issues.

Workaround: Restart the application.

Properties: Issue: Missing validation while entering property values. Workaround: Enter the value depending upon the type of property. Issue: Minor usability issues while adding options for ‘List’ type property. Workaround: Click on List options field to add the options and press return key to accept the value. Miscellaneous: Issue: Fonts may appear blurry on lower resolution displays or when the map is zoomed out. Workaround: Zoom in on the map. Issue: Revision Number and Modification Date are truncated when enabled from Show/Hide Menu. Workaround: None. Issue: Date format is not showing correctly when exporting to Word. Workaround: None. Issue: Unpublish may fail when unpublishing via the publish context menu. Workaround: Clear browser cache & cookies in Safari and restart MindManager.
