DeltaMax™ PerformanceModifiers areafamily of masterbatch products designedforusein injection molded applicationsof virginpolypropylene impact copolymers and recycledpolypropylene resins.While polypropyleneis a cost-effectivematerial, it is limited withrespect to providing a balanceof high impactwith stiffnessandmelt flowmakingit difficult tocost-effectively formulate, design,andprocessparts. This is particularly the casefor recycledpolypropylene resins,which typically lack highmelt flow and impact properties required formany injection molded applicationswithinconsumer,industrial, andautomotive markets.
DeltaMax PerformanceModifiers maximizethe physical properties and processability ofpolypropylene in away that transforms thevirgin and recycled PPmarkets. The technologyenablesconverters to enhancethe impact andmelt flow of their ICPor rPPresinsby adding amasterbatch at injection molding machine-side.Thenet effect is the ability to designparts withhigher impact and thinner profiles, runmachineswith faster cycletimes or lower temperatures,reducethe useof costly impact modifiers,and reduce inventory of multiple ICPresins.Additionally, DeltaMax PerformanceModifiersallow for the useof recycled PPat equal orbetter performance levelscomparedto virginresins.This createsanopportunity to improvethe circular economyandpromotes moresustainablemanufacturing practices.
