    1. COURSE DESCRIPTION

    The course is designed for army staffs assignedfor peacekeeping duties in countries torn byinternational conflicts. The personnels need to

    work together and communicate effectively andefficiently in English, which is a commonlanguage. Thus, the focus of this course is toprovide army staffs with the relevant military

    English vocabulary and essential communicationskills required to work in an internationalmilitary environment.

    Course Length

    The course is designed for 10 weeks , one

    meeting per week.

    One meeting lasts for 1 hour 30 minutes.

    ABOUT THE STUDENTS

    The class consists of 20-25 students. The

    students are army staffs from Supply and

    Transportation Corps.

    Their age range from 25-35 years.

    The level of English proficiency is Novice.

    Learners will be able to communicate using

    relevant and functional English language

    material applicable to army (TNI-AD) forces.

    Learners will be able to communicate orally on

    A. Simulation Games

    Learners will use information from the video tounderstand and then perform drill commands

    used in army forces.

    Procedures

    1. Brainstorming

    2. Introduce and show the video

    3. Ask learners to write some drill commands shown inthe video.

    4. Replay the video.

    5. The instructor utter some drill commands which the

    learners respond.6. Learners are divided into groups consist of 4 students.

    Each group will perform drill commands.
