Our Goal● To make a mobile application that
improves the quality of life for those with Alzheimer’s disease, along with assisting their caregivers in tending to the patient’s everyday needs.
● To IMPROVE memory for the Alzheimer’s patients and to help strengthen their brain functions .
Features for Alzheimer Patient
● Tutorial● Basic information ● Play calming music● Establish and maintain daily routines● Call caregiver● Medical reminders● Quick Jot● Word/ Photo Bank
Features for Caregiver● Reminder to get pills for Alzheimer patient.● Locate patient● Take Photos/ Videos of items to categorize them and
remind patient how to use them● Customize the app for their patient (i.e. writing their
personal information)● Alert system for any complications (for example late meds
that are required) Access to the patients’ medical records( to check on them
and make sure they are taking medications consistently)
The App● Our app demonstrates exactly what we wanted, a
simple easy to use app for a Caregiver or Alzheimer’s patient.
● An app called “Clevermind” has some similarities to our app but the app is specially made for the Alzheimer patient and is complicated to run for the Alzheimer patient.
● We want to make a simple app that helps both groups.
Main ideas
● Built in GPS to help the patient around the house or their neighborhood.
● App that helps with memory.● Alarms to remind the Alzheimer patient for
certain activities they need to do.
Platform
● We choose Android because it has less limitations than IOS, which will let us get even more creative with our ideas.
