Evolution

The size of games increased drastically from 43 KB(1985) to 17 GB in 2011(GTAIV).

PC games from 2006 to 2011 evolved very fast and they improved their graphic engines every year.Big companies like Electronic Arts(EA),Blizzard,Ubisoft,Frostbite are creating the best games this days.

Wolfenstein was one of the first RPG shooting games. RPG comes from Role playing game,which means that the player is given the role of another fictive person.Usualy the player can customise his character .The role playing games are very addictive because thay make the player believe that he is there and they force him to evolve and become stronger,giving him the feeling of another life.

In 1996 Microsoft launched a very popular and nice game in his 3D version:Mario. The game is addictive and easy to play for everyone.Everybody bought it and it still is a good game to play.

Tomb Raider was another huge succes from 1996.It was a very well created action RPG game having Lara Croft as its main character.Players could use weapons and beat a lot of villans. The Guinness Book of World Records has recognised Lara Croft as the "Most Successful Human Virtual Game Heroine" in 2006.

Battlefield is a very succesul first person shooter pc game series that continues from 2003 and it containes 6 big games:Battlefield 1942,Battlefield 1943,Battlefield Vietnam,Battlefield 2,Battlefield 3,Battlefield 2142.The goal is to capture the enemy’s base having the possibility to choose from a big variety of weapons and vehicles.

World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a “Massive multiplayer online role-playing game” or for short MMORPGIt has been produced by Blizzard Entertainment.The war rages in the huge kingdom of Azeroth

WOW is one, if not the biggest online gaming communities in the world.As of now there are at least 11 millon users world wide.There are two sides to choose from in World of WarcraftThe Alliance, and the Horde .

The Alliance is the thought of as the

protecting army of Azeroth .

Then you are launched in the virtual world ,were you try to survive and make level together with the others .

These games are called simulators,and there are lots of such games.They try to copy the reality giving the player the oportunity to fly a plane,drive a bus,or a train like in the real life.

Some of these games are so realistic that pilots , F1 drivers and astronauts train with them.

In a Train Simulator players must pay attention to weather, fuel, speed, timing and everything that involves driving a train.

Bus Simulator:players must respecttrafic regulations and a schedule like in real life.

A sports game is a video game that simulates the practice of traditional sports. Most sports have been recreated with a game, including team sports, athletics and extreme sports. Some games emphasize actually playing the sport (such as the NFL series), while others emphasize strategy and organization (such as Championship manager). This genre has been popular throughout the history of video games and is competitive, just like real-world sports. A number of game series features the names and characteristics of real teams and players, and are updated annually to reflect real-world changes.

A game is played by a normal player approximativly one hour,until he gets bored.Strategy games are played for two or three hours,because they offer more diversity: the player must build his civilization,his army and in every strategy game he must gather resouces.Some strategy games exemples are: CNC series,Red Alert series,Age of empires series,Heroes of Might & Magic,etc.

This is the first stage of Age of Empires 2.Players first gather wood,gold and food to expand their empire and to build and army.As you can see the player has workers that work at gold mines and farms.

After he has enough recources,heraises an army and attacks his opponents.The best thing in strategy games is that they never get old.

Starcraft 2 is probably the most played

strategy game on the planet

because of its amazing graphics

and variety of attack

units.There are Starcraft 2

tournaments where you can

earn a lot of money if you

beat your opponents.
