Miguel Joey is the CEO and Founder of MJA International, a consulting firm focused in transformation, change management and diversity. He solidified his professional foundation as a Recruitment and Outreach Strategist, Career Advisor and Talent Management Expert for the Department of Defense (DoD). Miguel Joey gives back to the community as the Chief Learning Officer of the non-profit organization Young Government Leaders, where he is executing the learning and development strategy for over 6000 members.

Miguel Joey is an international speaker that has received standing ovations and rave reviews from international conventions in Chicago, Las Vegas, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico and in numerous Federal Agencies, non-profit organizations and corporations. Living in the middle of two worlds like the Rock and Salsa it’s not easy. However, the reality is that Hispanics are everywhere, from the Supreme Court to the closest McDonald, they are making the difference. This presentation will take your audience on a journey to understand, manage and reach the Hispanic community. It will also showcase all the magnificent accomplishments and contributions of Hispanics to America. This session will portray statistics, facts and important aspects of the Hispanic community as a whole.

Diversity: The Hidden Weapon of Change

Management

Change isn’t achieved by just winging it. You have your change management plan, now what? One of the first steps towards implementing changes in an organization, is realizing that the employee base needed to achieve these changes is becoming increasingly diverse. This workshop will showcase proven diversity management techniques and their role within change management. Organizational changes involve a cultural change, and a diversity effort is cultural change at its core. The lessons learned from these exercises will be leveraged to change management efforts through the use of the Diversy-Wheel, a disruptive approach inspired by the Cultural Neuroscience Interaction Model. I spent 15 years of my life carrying 425 pounds; wearing pants size 60 and shirts that were 6XL. Sometimes change can be a scary thing.
