The only problem I have come across so far with clusters is the Quorum drive stops being recognized by the cluster. if that happens, there are special commands that will allow you to start the cluster service on one server and recreate the quorum. once it is recreated then restart the cluster service on both servers and everything is back to normal. Under resources, delete the Quorum drive.. Usually Q: on the left hand column select the cluster name, click file then properties select the Quorum tab select the q: or whatever it was before. hit ok then you’re done.

you also want to make sure it gets put back in the correct group. in this case "Cluster Group"

ok.. delete the Disk Q

Page 7: Migration Troubleshooting

ok.. try creating a new resource first then. Physical disk Q: call it Quorum

select resources, right click new -> resource

Page 8: Migration Troubleshooting

basically what you need to do first is get storage to create a new quorum drive for us. only temporary then go and rescan disks so that it appears then start the cluster service with net start "cluster service" /FixQuorum  start cluster manager create a new resource and call it anything you want for example "Quorum" make it a physical disk type

Page 9: Migration Troubleshooting

when you scan for disks above you need to format the new disk and assign it a drive letter. so the disk appears in explorer i gave it p: Click next

Page 10: Migration Troubleshooting

the quorum has to be able to be owned by both servers so leave it as it is then click next

quorum required no dependencies so leave as default next

Page 11: Migration Troubleshooting

select the drive you created before then finish there will now be a new resource called Quorum right click it and bring it online then click on the cluster name at the top of the left hand column, properties select quorum tab select the new resource you created and now everything should work so restart the cluster service once it is up, start the cluster service on the other node go back to the original node, delete the original Quorum resource "Q Drive" recreate it. same way as Quorum resource above but this time the disk will be Q: instead of P: so once you have created the original Quorum again, start the resource select the cluster name, properties, quorum tab and select "Q Drive" and your done do we need add more storage for quorum which u have asked to storage team

thats the first step you rescan disks and they just come up
