The Symposium is a full day event that includes more than a dozen presentations, a Keynote Lecture, a number of additional shorter presentations (Pearls), and continental breakfast, refreshments, and lunch. Since the Symposium is limited to a single session, attendees benefit from the information shared in every presentation + presenters are ensured a large audience. Certificates for 7.0 Continuing Education hours will be granted.

Individuals wishing to provide a 30-minute presentation (25-minutes presentation plus 5 minutes Q&A) and/or 5-minutes presentation (pearl) are invited to submit an abstract on any bridge-related subject including: analysis, design, construction, inspection, and in-place monitoring of bridge projects. The abstract should not exceed 500 words. Authors may submit more than one abstract. The abstract should include photos of the project. The Symposium registration fee is waived for the presenting author. The 5-minute presentation (Pearl) topic may be any bridge-related topic that is of interest to the attendees. The suggested topic should be innovative, useful, and/or practical. It could be a problem that you encountered during design or construction, and how you resolved it. It also could be a short presentation about a project you designed or constructed, or any other bridge-related topic.

The following information must be shown on top of the abstract:

• Name of Conference (15th Annual SEAOI Midwest Bridge Symposium) • Full name, e-mail, and full address of the author(s) • Title of the presentation • Key words

• Author affiliation • Name of the client/owner of the Project

TEchnical prEsEnTaTiOns Authors will be notified of acceptance by the organizing committee. Additional information will be provided following acceptance. Authors of selected abstracts will be asked to provide program information and preliminary versions of their presentations. Presentations must be submitted through an ftp site or on USB drive.

SEAOI reserves the right to reproduce information submitted as part of any symposium presentation, unless otherwise requested by the presenter.

ExhibiTOr OppOrTuniTiEs Limited Exhibitor opportunities are available. Exhibitors will receive recognition in the program plus an opportunity for a brief introduction to the audience from the podium, one admittance to the Bridge Symposium, and access to participants during breakfast, lunch and breaks during the day. spOnsOrship OppOrTuniTiEs Companies interested in sponsoring this event are invited to contact SEAOI Executive Director Stephanie Crain at [email protected]. There are four different levels of corporate sponsorship. The following are the costs and respective benefits for each of the four levels.

Platinum: $1,000 – Recognition on SEAOI website and in event program, poster displayed at event, recognition for sponsoring lunch and the opportunity to distribute promotional items to all attendees.

Gold: $850 – Recognition on SEAOI website and in event program, display of poster at event, and recognition for sponsoring one of the following: Continental Breakfast, Morning Break, or Afternoon Break.

Silver: $600 – Recognition on SEAOI website and in event program, poster displayed at event.

Bronze: $300 – Recognition on SEAOI website and in event program.
