Supporting your green agenda

As well as being equipped with a manual power save button to save energy and cut running costs, the Energy Star certified MX-M503N, MX-M453N and MX-M363N reduce night-time energy consumption right down to a single watt - just enough to receive faxes.

They warm up in just 20 seconds, the first copy appears in 4.6 seconds or less and paper-saving double-sided printing is standard on all models. Plus, you’ll find a number of innovative printing and copying features such as Proof Print, which cuts waste by letting you check a sample before committing to a long print run.

Making information accessible

These MFPs give you a lot more than just the usual print, copy and scan functions of lesser machines. They have capabilities which can make a real difference to the effectiveness of your team. Take scanning, for instance.

Each model can scan up to 70 originals per minute, in batches of up to 100 sheets at a time. And that’s regardless of whether they’re colour or black & white, single, double-sided, or a mixture of different sizes in the same batch.

There’s a large 8.5-inch touch-screen colour LCD panel with thumbnail previews and a full-size retractable keyboard option too. So as you scan your documents you’ll find it easy to add data, file them on the MFP’s internal hard drive, and to retrieve, re-use and share your files.

You’re not restricted to scanning to the hard disk, either. It’s just as easy to scan – in a variety of popular file formats – directly to multiple destinations including email recipients, network folders, FTP servers, your desktop or a plug in USB memory stick.

Advanced finishing options

Everyone in your team will want to make full use of the 1200 x 1200 dpi image quality. And thanks to a paper supply which can grow to 5,600 sheets, plus an impressive range of finishing options, they can.

Choose a space-saving internal finisher for simple sorting, stapling and off-set stacking. Add a hole punch for ready-to-file documents, a 4,000-sheet finisher for long print runs, or maybe a bi-folding saddle stitch finisher for making stylish booklets.

Your most sensitive data is safe with the MX-M503N, MX-M453N and MX-M363N. Robust user authentication, secure network cards, SSL and IPsec data encryption, port-based network control, and PIN-controlled printing work in harmony to protect your network, documents and data.

If your team routinely handles confidential information you may want to add our optional Data Security Kit, too. This prevents unauthorised copying, scanning, faxing and filing; and can encrypt and securely erase data on the hard disk and internal memory, automatically or on demand.

Plus, you get our Document Control* function. This prevents the unauthorised copying, scanning, faxing and filing of confidential documents by adding copy-prevention data to a document when it is first copied or printed. If the data is subsequently detected the MFP simply cancels the job or produces a blank page.

MFPs that do more

You can enhance the productivity to the MX-M503N, MX-M453N and MX-M363N still further, thanks to a growing range of applications that run under Sharp OSA® (Open Systems Architecture).

Sharp OSA Network Scanner Tool, for instance, lets you create job profiles that can automate printing, copying or scanning operations. Our Technology Partners have developed many more solutions.

These MFPs also come with Sharpdesk™ document management software - a desktop-based solution that’s capable of handling more than 200 different file formats. Its thumbnail views let you browse, sort, search and share files, and create documents that combine scanned and operator-created data. It’s easy – just drag and drop!

MULTI-LEVEL SECURITY

A Remote Diagnosis feature monitors the MFPs through a web browser, and they’ll get timely email messages when maintenance is required.

Sharp Remote Device Manager also gives themreal-time control of your Sharp MFPs - again, through a browser - making technical support, driver installation and firmware upgrades easier than ever.

They can even remotely view* and operate the front panel display, taking control, changing settings, fixing problems and providing ad hoc training, without ever leaving their desks, thanks to our innovative Remote Access Control Panel.

Easy, centralised device management and support

The MX-M503N, MX-M453N and MX-M363N are truly easy to manage. For a start, you can monitor every important setting from a dedicated web page. But that’s not all.

A Printer Status Monitor on your PC lets you check that there’s enough toner and paper before you start a job. A glance at the Job Status Screen will reveal every copy and print job and its position in the queue. And an alert will pop up as soon as your documents are printed.

Your support staff will love them, too.
