SI-275: SI Installation Excellence Training

This three-day comprehensive course provides you with the technical knowledge, methods and best practices for installation of the Midmark RTLS Sensory Network. It delivers an understanding of the requirements for prep work, devices, installation, termination, verification and documentation.

• Wireless Sensory Network Installation • Wi-Fi Locating • Midmark RTLS Core Software Configuration • Sensory Network Configuration (Device ID/Naming Conventions, etc.) • Sensory Network Installation (Device Placement and Installation) • Walking Setup (Field Side) • Sensor Focusing

• Required for all System Integrator staff dealing with Midmark RTLS prep, installation and setup

Coming in 2020: Additional Curriculum Software Installation + Configuration Curriculum will be added in 2020 with the goal of getting your software specialists up-to-speed on setting up and supporting select Midmark RTLS software packages. System Integrator staff who complete this training and pass certification will be eligible to participate in a new Remote Services program designed to get your customers up and running more quickly with Midmark RTLS software. While your software specialists complete the bulk of setup and configuration, our remote services will finish up the installation and perform a quality assurance check. The result is a reduced services cost to you and a quicker installation for the customer.

SI-275 Recertification Exam

Looking to renew your Midmark RTLS SI-275 certification, but don’t want to come to Traverse City for training? If you were certified in the last two years, you can obtain recertification by taking the online exam at any time.

Who should take the exam

Midmark RTLS System Integrator Technicians who previously attended SI-275 in Traverse City in the past two years (2018 or 2019)

How much it costs

$500 (two exam attempts included)

Note: If you fail both attempts of the test, you must come back to Traverse City for the SI-275 class to be recertified.

Recertification Process

(1) Register to take the test by completing and emailing the registration form (with credit card or PO) to RTLSeducation@midmark.com.

(2) Midmark RTLS will contact you with payment confirmation, schedule a time to take the exam and provide a link to the exam.

(3) Once you complete the test, you will see immediately if you passed or failed. Grading is based on a scale of 100 points. A passing score is 75 or above.

Note: If the last time you attended training was 2017 or prior, you must come to Traverse City for SI-275. Please refer to the course schedule on page 7 for training dates.

Max Wolfe

Max brings an extensive background of technical experience to the Midmark RTLS team. Prior to becoming a technical trainer, Max worked many years in Midmark RTLS technical support helping clients troubleshoot problems, plan sensory networks and more. Max has a unique perspective into the questions that Midmark RTLS customers have, and a knack for helping them find and understand solutions.

Daniel Michalski, PhD, MCSE, CCNA, CNA

Daniel is our lead technical instructor, bringing more than 20 years of advanced networking experience to the Midmark RTLS team. He has contributed to numerous textbooks, as well as held teaching positions at two universities. Daniel is A+, Security+, and Network+ certified, and specializes in network architecture, design and security.
