This is a program designed by you—the Inventor! Each day you’ll be given a series of challenges which must be overcome
using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors and the most important thing of all – your mind.
With a little bit of ingenuity you’ll construct catapults and forts and then lay siege, fabricate a winning Egg Drop design,
Construct a dancing robot and assemble a working light saber to take home. While Thomas Edison said invention is 10%
inspiration and 90% perspiration, this program is 100% fun!

CCR offers experienced (this includes members who
started this past summer as novice) rowers and coxswains an opportunity to compete in fall regattas in this session. Three weekly practice sessions are offered. It is highly recommended to attend all three, however, due to work schedules, etc., it is understood that some folks cannot make each session. All that is asked is that each participant establish a fairly regular schedule of attendance.
The goal of the program is to prepare each rower and
coxswain for racing, in addition to improving skills and conditioning. Since this is a competitive program,
attendance is important. Those not interested in racing
are welcome to join. There is often need for folks to fill seats to enable a row. An on-call sub list of race experienced rowers will be organized, to facilitate full boats for every practice. Attending the first day of practice is required to be included on this sub list. Currently, the plan is to compete in:
The Head of the Riverfront Hartford 10/4
The Head of the Housatonic Shelton 10/10
The Head of the Charles Boston, 10/17 masters
The Head of the Charles Boston 10/18 juniors
