Social Studies with Mrs. Hughes [email protected] x514
Dear Parents and Students,
My husband and I are pleased to announce that we are expecting a baby this coming May. While we are hoping that this won’t interfere in the long term with anything school related until the end of the year, we are very much aware that students will come home with this information and may have questions. I am happy to answer as many of them as I can however, I don’t want to take a lot of school time to do this. As it currently stands, my due date is the during the last week of school so if all goes well we will have the year pretty much wrapped up before this time. We look forward to that time with much anticipation and hope you will celebrate this blessing with us.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hughes

classroom forum called Google Classroom. Please make a plan so that students can finish homework on time.
Please make sure you have access to Infinite Campus for grade information. Please have your student show you our Google Classroom if you would like to know what is going on.

Weighted Grades
I do weight my grades for academic classes as follows: Tests/Projects = 40%
Quizzes/Homework/Classwork = 35%
Notes/Participation/ = 25%
This does make it so that you can’t add up their total number of points and divide it by the total points possible and calculate a correct grade. Please email me if you have any questions.
