Subject: Final Project Deliverable: SSPA Work Order SSPA2-RG14 “Middle Rio Grande Gaging Station Instrumentation,” (SSP-941).

Dear Grace: As requested by Kevin Flanigan by e-mail on April 4, 2006, please find attached the updated project deliverable for Work Order SSPA2-RG14, “Middle Rio Grande Gaging Station Instrumentation,” (SSP-941, funded under SSP-1040). In this project, SSPA provided assistance to the ISC with the purchase of equipment required for the installation of four new Middle Rio Grande river gages, which will be installed by the USGS at the following locations:

• Below the southern boundary of Isleta Pueblo, near Bosque Farms, New Mexico

• At NM 346 Highway Bridge, south of Belen, New Mexico

• At Pueblitos Bridge in Escondida, New Mexico

• Above NM 380 Highway Bridge in San Antonio, New Mexico

The specified equipment was ordered from Design Analysis, Inc., delivered to the U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) warehouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico, inspected by SSP&A for damage during transport (only the USGS is able to test equipment for proper operation), and labeled with bar codes by the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer Administrative Services Division (NMOSE ASD) to indicate receipt and ownership of this equipment by the State of New Mexico. In addition to the equipment specified in the original order, the ISC approved (by e-mail on March 23, 2005), SSPA ordered, and Design Analysis, Inc. delivered lightening protectors for the stream gaging equipment. By this deliverable, SSP&A confirms that the ordered equipment was delivered to the USGS offices, and was not damaged during shipping. Through the attachments of bar codes to the equipment, the State of New Mexico has acknowledged its receipt and ownership. In April of 2006, SSP&A documented three of the four new gages installed in 2005, and received documentation from George Sieber, USGS for the gage installed in 2006 near Bosque Farms.
