Directions to the University of Maryland

From Washington

Take North Capitol Street all the way to Riggs Road ne. Turn right onto Riggs Road (crossing into Maryland). Turn right onto University Boulevard. At top of hill, bear right onto Campus Drive. Take Campus Drive to large parking lot on left.

From Baltimore

Drive south on i-95 to the Capital Beltway (i-495). Follow signs to College Park, us 1 South. Proceed approximately two miles on us 1 South. Turn right onto Campus Drive and proceed up the hill.

Parking is available in lots JJ2, JJ3, 1b, 1c, 1d, and Z. Parking is open to the public and free from 4:00 pm (restricted at all other times).

The closest visitor garage to the Parren J. Mitchell Art/Sociology Building is Mowatt Lane Garage.

The closest Metrorail stations are Judiciary Square on the Red Line and Archives – Navy Memorial – Penn Quarter on the Green and Yellow Lines.
