The MTRCB pursuant to Section 3 ofPresidential Decree No. 1986 is mandated withthe powet to review and classify movie, telonsionmaterials and othet related publicity materids, tosupervise, tegulate and grant, deny or cancelpermits for impottation, exportation of films andtelevision materials.
As of 30 June 2016, the Boatd teviewed/ptocessed 82,216 matedals composed of 6lms,television programs, optical media, publicitymaterids and import/export permits.
Monitodng Activity As pat of its powen and functions, t}re MTRCBMonitoring and Inspection Unit (IMIU) Agentscoflduct daily monitoring of filrn and televisionmatedals being exhibited in theaten andtelevision, as well as inspect buses and ferdes tocheck compliance with tle MTRCB rules andregulations entities under the jurisdiction of theBoatd. The Boatd Members, in-house deputies

As of 30 June 2016, the Monitoring andInspection Unit (MII--) as well as the BoardNlembets, in-house deputy agents and deputyvolunteers conducted 41 ,7 81 monitoringactivities. This includes the monitoring of films,television progtarns, plugs and ttailets, publicitymaterials and inspection of entities such as
theaters, public utility vehicles @uses and ferries)and othet entities under the MTRCBT iurisdiction.
