Record-breakingThe Microtector III G888 is the smallest and lightest 4-7-Gas Detection Device with wireless module. Depending on which sensors it is equipped with, this gas detec-tor warns users of hazards due to toxic, flammable gases and vapours, as well as against a lack of oxygen or excess oxygen. Due to individual sensor combinations and a wide range of accessories the G888 is suitable for every set of requirements.

Easy operationAfter the Power up the Microtector is immediately ready for operation. Each main function such as peak indication,

LED lamp, alarm reset, display zoom and turning the display in carrying position can be controlled with only one button. Easy navigation through the menu with only three buttons allows you to e.g. change the device settings or read out the internal data logger.

Man-Down-AlarmThe Microtector III G888 has a man down Alarm. The interval, after which the alarm gets triggered, is protected by an pass-word and can be individually set according to the requirements. Therefore in case of emergency no time will be wasted for taking safety actions.

Live monitoring via wirelessThe Microtector III is able to transfer the current measurement data via wireless to the central device GfG-Link or an operations centre. This allows the head of operations to be fully informed of the hazardous situation of this employees.

PC and RepeaterBy using a repeater the reach of the wireless transmission can be increased to 1200m. In the visualisations software GfG-Connect connected devices can be displayed clearly as list or in the detail view.

GfG-LinkGfG-Link is the safe chain link between the devices. According to the version four or ten devices can be connected to the GfG-Link. Besides the meas-urement values the user names are shown in the display of the GfG-Link for quick identification. The life saving man down alarm has a special status within the alarm states of the GfG-Link. It is enhanced by an unmistakeable acoustic signal sequence and a red flashing alarm display. All connected devices and their current status are indicated within the front panel of the GfG-Link. The range within the free field is approx. 600m. In an ideal case

this allows you to monitor the state of safety of your employees within a range of 1200m.

Pager functionThe head of operations can use the integrated pager function for sending short massages to the seperate con-nected devices. Massages can be sent as free written short textes from a PC or preconfigured standard massages from the GfG-Link.

Case of alarmFor preparing your staff for the case of emergency the G888 offers a training mode. By using a PC or the GfG-Link

alarms can be simulated on the con-nected devices which allows to train under real conditions.

Custom Tailored DevicesThe sensor slots can be equipped as desired with the following number of sensors:

1x Catalytic combustion (CC), 1x Infrared sensor(IR), up to 4x electrochemical sen-sors (EC). The Design of the Microtector III G888 enables different combinations of sensors, so the gas detection device is adapted to the customer‘s individual requirements.

High-End-SensorsOur high end sensors excel by an ex-tremely long sensor life high measurement accuracy, fast response and low cross-sen-sitivity Furthermore devices and sensors are designed to be easy to maintain.

The infrared principle(NDIR) With only one measurement chamber the Microtector III can detect carbon

dioxide and hydrocarbons like methane and propane simultaneously. For this purpose the sensor uses up to four detector elements. Absorption paths and wavelengths of the beams are matched optimally to the gases and measurement ranges. Optionally the IR sensor can be pressure compensat-ed if the application is connected to atmospheric pressure variations (e.g. mining). Sensor damages caused by silicon compounds or hydrogen sulphide can be eliminated by the IR technology. A further advantage of the IR sensor compared to a catalytic combustion sensor is that it doesn’t suffer any damage when exposed to high gas concentrations. Alarm limit valuesThree alarm limit values for flammable gases and oxygen as well as two current limit values for toxic gases and two

explosion alarms provide full protection for the user. In addition

■ Time Weighted Average value (TWA) ■ Short Term Exposure Limit value (STEL)

are also monitored automatically, and their average values are stored. Alllimit values are protected by a code that you can specify individually.

Data loggerThe integrated data logger records the measured gas concentrations and acti-vates alarms over a period of up to 500 hours. The data stored can be read out and documented using the TS400 test station or the DS400 docking station.

It has always been our approach to combine innovative ideas and technology with func-tional design. This is how quality and durability are formed. Attributes which represent the core of GfG within the field of gas detection. No other gas detection device with integrated pump received as many awards as the Microtector III by GfG.
