We ask everyone interested in volunteering with us to complete this application form. It requests your contact details and a little background information on what you’d like to get out of volunteering with Purfleet Trust. If you would like any more information on roles available please contact our volunteer coordinator Toni Hopkin on number above.

Volunteer Roles
Please give us details about what you are interested in doing as a volunteer – indicate all that apply and please remember that experience isn’t always necessary and in some cases training can be given.
Workshop volunteers
Our workshop volunteers come in to our health and wellbeing centre and run a wide range of workshops. These could include, music, art, crafts or anything you are passionate about.

To help with the running of an allotment project and also setting up gardens at our Health and Wellbeing centre and maintaining those at our training houses.

Event volunteersTo support Purfleet Trust at both internal and public events, gathering information and raising awareness of our organisation. Also helping with our vital fundraising events.

Administrative / Research volunteers
We welcome volunteers with either administrative or research experience in order to enable us to achieve our outcomes, by helping with the collection and analysis of data and information and the writing of reports or by carrying out specific administrative tasks which support the work of the staff team.

Photography volunteers
We are constantly in need of good quality photos of both events and the day to day activities in the centre. These are used on our website, in newsletters and for publications.

General activities volunteers
Our busy health and wellbeing centre is open from 9am to 5pm daily. As a general activities volunteer you may run a bingo session, help in the kitchen, help clients fill in forms or sort donations. All of these are vital tasks in the centre and each day can be very varied.

Availability
When would you be able to volunteer with us? Please provide the times you are available.We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm but we also have events that happen outside these times. If you would prefer just to volunteer at events please note this in comments box.

Data Protection
As part of our volunteer management processes we may collect and store sensitive personal data about you. We are required by law to obtain your consent to such data being recorded. It is our policy to store data relating to recruitment procedures for a minimum of 12 months after the date on which it is submitted. Any information of this nature will be treated confidentially.
Sensitive personal data is defined as information relating to any of the following; racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, health, sexual orientation, offences and/or convictions.
Any information you give in this form will be kept on the Purfleet Trust database and in accordance with the Data Protection Act will not be shared with anyone else without your permission.
