BEFORE participating in any BOCA events in 2019, please confirm that you have read and accepted the BOCA MEMBER ANNUAL DECLARATION below by sending a completed copy of this form by email to the BOCA membership secretary at bocabda@gmail.com. Please also include a note of the date of your online payment and bank reference ID in the email so that we can identify your payment.

BOCA Individual dues are $75 per person per calendar year (or $10 for Junior Members up to age 16).

BOCA MEMBER ANNUAL DECLARATION (please sign below).In consideration of being accepted as a racing crew member of BOCA, I hereby agree as follows:

I certify that I will abide by all applicable regulations of the Marine Board Act, 1962 and will read and abide by all forthcoming BOCA race instructions applicable to me. I warrant that I have understood and accepted the aforesaid Marine Board regulations and BOCA race instructions. I acknowledge that a notice sent by email to the email address I have supplied, or information posted to the BOCA website constitutes “notice” to me as a crew member.

I acknowledge that all skippers and crew who enter any BOCA racing event do so on the express understanding that the decision either to participate in the event, or thereafter, to continue to participate in the event, is theirs alone and that the BOCA accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained as a result of either the entry or the continued participation of the above-mentioned boat in any racing event.

I do for myself, my executors, administrators and assigns waive and relinquish all claims that I or my dependents may have against the BOCA, its officers, organizers, employees or agents and/or their respective executors, administrators and assigns, arising out of any event scheduled by the BOCA, together with any reasonable legal expenses incurred by any of them in responding to such a claim, whether it be valid or not.

I hereby further agree to indemnify the executors, administrators and assigns, against any claim for loss, damage or injury by either the skipper or any member of the crew of the above-named boat, or by their respective executors, administrators, dependents or assigns, that they or any of them may assert including costs with respect thereto. I understand that in accepting my application as a regular member or junior member, that BOCA relied upon the various warranties, undertakings, waivers and indemnities contained herein. This contract shall inure for the benefit of BOCA, its officers, organizers, employees or agents, who shall each have the full benefit of the various terms herein contained.

Personal Information Protection Act, 2016 (‘PIPA’): I acknowledge that I have rights, and BOCA has obligations, pursuant to PIPA. On registration as a member, I agree that the BOCA and its Officers and other members of its Executive Committee, for the purposes of collecting annual dues, maintaining a membership list and advising me about BOCA activities, may retain the following personal information during my membership and for a period of up to two years after I cease to be a member: Name, Email Address, Telephone Number(s), Name & Sail Number of the boat(s) which I own or which I usually crew in BOCA sailing events ('My Information'). BOCA may share My Information with PW Marine and Rowe Spurling Paints and similar marine suppliers in Bermuda, if they offer discounts to BOCA members, and with the Bermuda Sailing Association. BOCA may not otherwise share My Information with anyone without my written permission.
