    Brief History

    Why is it created?

    Microsoft Visio is created to easily create diagramsand drawings for many different purposes.

    It was created to eliminate the laborious process ofcreating diagrams by providing the tools to create

    complex diagrams in as user friendly manner.

    Shapeware Corporation (changed to VisioCorporation in 1995)

    Microsoft (acquired Visio Corporation in 2000)
