// ZipChip CE-ESI Amino Acids/Metabolites Overview

• Fast, high-resolution CE separations under 3 min for amino acids/metabolites in matrices of

varying complexity. ZipChip CE-ESI MS quantitative with LOQs comparable to LC/MS.

• Corresponding LC elution significantly longer and method development is more challenging.

Conventional CE systems have much longer CE migration times and lower resolution.

• Minimal sample preparation for complex matrices courtesy of on-chip desalting

• Low volume nl injections advantageous for precious samples. Negligible sample to sample

carryover in ZipChip CE-ESI. Optimized CE method available for metabolomics samples.

• Can increase run time and number of MS and MS/MS scans across peak by switching from the

ZipChip HS Chip (10 cm) to ZipChip HR (22 cm). Alternately, analysis time can be increased by

changing BGE composition or CE voltage differential.

• Extending analysis run time can also allow for higher resolution Orbitrap MS, MS/MS scanning.

• Autosampler capability near completion for high throughput SM assays. Anionic CE separation

capability to follow.
