    ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

*he completion of any inter disciplinary pro/ect depend upon coordinate and

combined efforts of se#eral resources of knowledge creati#ity0 skill0 energy and

time. *he work being accomplished now0 we feel our most sincere urge to recall

and acknowledge through these lines0 trying our best to gi#e full credit where#er it

    deser#es.

ith deep sense of gratitude we should like to render our sincerest and heart full

thank to our pro/ect guide Ms.Cha&u Patel for de#oting his #aluable time and

guiding us to accomplishoue task. e literally inundated us with study material andwas e#er recepti#e to our 3uires and suggestion. e shall also like to thank our

.'.D Mr.4ilesh Patel for allowing us to under fate this pro/ect.

!ast0 we are thankful to almighty without blessings of whom we would ha#e not

5Micro controller based tachometer6 design makes use of 78,1 micro

controller for interfacing to #arious hardware peripherals. *echnology today is

seeing its heights in all the areas0 especially in the area of %mbedded "ystems. It is

true that e#ery electronic gadget that is used in daily life right from a PC keyboard

to be frigerator is an %mbedded "ystem. *his itself shows how #astly the

technology is e&panding .*he current design is an embedded application which is

used to calculate the speed of the motor without the need of tachometer. In this

application I fre3uencies are used to calculate the speed of the motor.

Photoelectric tachometer measures the rpm of most shop9floor tools and manyhousehold machines without any mechanical or electrical interface by making use

of 78,1 microcontroller. *achometer is nothing but a simple electronic digital

transducer. 4ormally0 it is used for measuring the speed of a rotating shaft. *he

number of re#olutions per minute :rpm; is #aluable information for understanding

    any rotational system.
