Michigan Federation for Children and Families 8th Annual 2020 Residential Treatment Conference Monday, March 2, 2020, at The MTG Space in Lansing, MI Presenter Request for Proposals The Michigan Federation for Children and Families Residential Treatment Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit a proposal to present at the Federation’s Eighth Annual Residential Treatment Conference themed “Navigating Change: Fulfilling the Promise of the FFPSA.” Conference purpose and goals: This program will feature national and state expertise to help guide Michigan residential treatment providers toward implementation of the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA), with a special emphasis on the opportunities the law focuses on to help transform residential treatment services through best practices and evidence-based strategies for family engagement. Estimated audience size: 200-250. Invited audience: This conference is ideal for residential treatment supervisors, program managers and agency CEOs and executive leadership, direct care workers and clinicians; teams are encouraged to attend. Registration is also open to professionals and stakeholders in the following areas of practice: Child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral and community health, community-based programs School social workers Judges, referees and court administrators Tribal court judges, attorneys and related staff Prosecutors, assistant attorneys general LGALs Probation officers Using the attached RFP Form, professionals and academics are invited to submit a conference presentation proposal related to the overall conference purpose and goals, appropriate for a general audience of 200-250 as described above. Proposal specifications. Session length options: 1 hour • 1.25 hours • 1.5 hours Present best practices, evidence-based treatment and interventions, and/or relevant research for application within

residential treatment program settings. Incorporate active learning methods, i.e., case study exercises, role-playing, action plans, etc. Present strategies and take-aways for effective implementation of information learned.

Deadline. All proposals must be submitted by noon on October 25, 2019, to [email protected]. Selection. Individuals who submit RFPs will be made aware of the Planning Committee’s session selection decisions on or before November 15, 2019.
