TOXIC PRODUCT

Monster Energy

Page 2: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Description of the product

• This product called Monster Energy is an energy drink that thousands of people worldwide drink every day.

• But few of them really know what this drink is made of and what effect it actually produces in the body.

Page 3: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Characteristics of the product

• This drink was invented and put on the

market, preferably as an energy drink

for athletes. Although not widely

publicized in the media, it sponsors

many sports and is well known. Not

only athletes consume it but many

people drink it as I do, as a soda.

• This drink contains

among many more things

caffeine, taurine, and

glucuronolactone. These

three mixed elements can

be fatal and one of them

is not what the

manufacturers say it is.

Page 4: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Where can you buy the toxic

product?

• In all establishments, starting with large stores such as

supermarkets, stores, kiosks, and Chinese grocery stores.

Page 5: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

When do you consume it?

How often do people consume the

toxic product?

• Consumed at all hours of the day, there are even people who usually have it in the

morning or as a soft drink. And the worst is that young people mix it with alcohol,

which is much worse, as these drinks contain vitamin B12. This vitamin is injected

into patients who have suffered so-called "comas" to reanimate them.

• It is consumed by all ages because children always imitate older

people and it has been demonstrated that these drinks do more harm

to the youngest and those who have not yet fully developed.

Page 6: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

How the product was introduced

in the market/the society?

• This product was created in California, but

does not have much publicity in the media.

It sponsors many sports, especially

extreme ones, and is well recognized for it.

This product was introduced in countries

one after another and is now drunk in over

60 countries.

Page 7: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

What are the advantages and

disadvantages of consuming the

product?

• This product provides more exercise performance, yet getting this is detrimental to many other aspects such as liver, brain, or nervous system tumours.

• Monster Energy and many more brands of energy drinks contain taurine, caffeine, glucuronolactone, and say they are not harmful to health ,and say that glucuronolactone is synthetically produced and is of high quality.

• But the truth of this component is that it was invented by the U.S. Department of Defense in the ‘60s to encourage troops in the Vietnam War. I did not think about bad things and focus on the war without being afraid. Of those many soldiers died because of this chemical and others because of the glururonolactone diagnosed brain tumours, liver, and migraines.

Page 8: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Coffee is a beverage prepared from roasted beans of several species of the Coffea shrub.

It is aromatic and its taste is bitter.

Page 49: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

When brewed, its color is brown, and it is

usually served with sugar and milk so as

to counteract its bitterness.

It contains caffeine, which is an

addictive substance.

Page 50: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Coffee can be purchased at markets

and supermarkets for one's own

consumption.

Places such as cafeterias, restaurants or

bars offer coffee drinks already brewed.

Page 51: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

There are even places dedicated

exclusively to serving coffee and coffee-

made products (with milk, cream,

chocolate, liquor, ice cream, etc.)

Page 52: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

People drink coffee for breakfast or in

the afternoon. In some countries they

even drink coffee at night.

Page 53: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

People drink coffee on a daily basis,

between one and four coffees each day

on average. Coffee is the second most

commercialized good in the world,

second to petroleum.

Page 54: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

The original native strain of coffee is

thought to have come from Ethiopia,

and it was first cultivated by Arabs from

the 14th century.

Page 55: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Today coffee is grown in a multitude of

countries around the world. Whether it is

Asia or Africa, Central or South America,

the islands of the Caribbean or Pacific,

they can all trace their heritage to the

trees in the ancient coffee forests on the

Ethiopian plateau.

Page 56: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

“The population needs something to keep it energized and awake to work.”

Coffee makes a great pick-me-up: Coffee contains caffeine, a mild stimulant that makes you more alert and energized. When taken in moderation, coffee clears your mind and improves concentration.

Coffee smells really good: The rich aroma wafting from a steaming cup is enough to make you crave for a sip.

Coffee tastes really good: When brewed perfectly, coffee leaves a distinctive taste on your tongue, just the right amount of bitterness and sweetness.

Page 57: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas
Page 58: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Mineral Absorption, Your Kidneys and Coffee: Heavy coffee drinkers may have difficulty getting enough minerals in their diet, even if they eat mineral rich foods or take supplements. This is due to the way coffee affects iron absorption in your stomach and

particularly your kidneys’ ability to retain calcium, zinc, magnesium and other important minerals.

Acrylamide in Coffee: Acrylamide is a potentially carcinogenic

(cancer-causing) substance that forms when coffee beans are roasted at high

temperatures. The darker the roast, the higher the levels of acrylamide are likely to be. In fact, coffee has been shown to be

one of the major sources of this dangerous chemical in American diets.

Page 59: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Heart and Blood Pressure Diseases: For people with high blood pressure or high blood sugar levels, the negative effects of caffeine should be understood. Caffeine can raise both these levels. Any type of heart problem can be affected by

caffeine. The negative effect of caffeine in increasing heart rate can create problems for people with heart conditions, and in high doses, caffeine can induce irregular heartbeats in healthy people.

Ulcers, IBS and Acidity: Drinking coffee can also irritate the lining of the small intestine, potentially leading

to abdominal spasms, cramps and elimination problems, often alternating between constipation and diarrhea. This

condition is known as irritable bowel syndrome and more and more people

are being diagnosed with it in recent years.

Page 60: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

A cup of coffee is highly refreshing but one should never take

it in excessive amounts. Coffee is very high in caffeine and so

drinking several cups of coffee in a day is dangerous for

one’s health. The combination of caffeine and tannin, can

also put a person in the risk zone of several diseases. For

instance, the stimulating effect of coffee can cause sleep

deprivation and disturb normal sleeping patterns.

“Since the caffeine in coffee is addictive, you may experience

withdrawal symptoms, such as severe headaches if you try to stop

drinking regular coffee.”

Page 61: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Coffee May Lower Your Risk of Alzheimer's: Not only can coffee make you smarter in the short term, it may also protect your brain in old age. Alzheimer's disease is the most common neurodegenerative disorder in the world and a leading cause of

dementia. In prospective studies, coffee drinkers have up to a 60% lower risk of Alzheimer's and dementia.

Coffee is Loaded With

Nutrients and Antioxidants: Coffee contains a decent amount of several vitamins and minerals. It is also

the biggest source of antioxidants in the modern diet.

Page 62: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Coffee May Drastically Lower Your Risk of Type II

Diabetes: Drinking coffee is associated with a drastically reduced risk of type II diabetes. People who drink several cups per day are the least likely to

become diabetic.

“The recommendation for safe drinking

levels is 500mg per day, less for those with

heart conditions, elevated blood pressure,

and pregnant women. The average cup of

instant coffee contains between 80 and

100mg/cup. The stronger the coffee the

more caffeine it contains.”

Page 63: Michelle ivan rocio saray irene rafa revisadas

Coffee exporting alone is a $20 billion dollar industry, mostly

consumed by industrialized nations while being produced by

the world's underclass.

" Milk and dairy can cause cancer “: Harvard

According to a publication by the Harvard School of Public Health , milk and other dairy products should be eliminated from a healthy diet and replaced with water, preferably , as mentioned in your healthy eating guide called Healthy Eating Plate .

Thus, nutrition experts and researchers from Harvard recommend eliminating milk and dairy from the diet because " high consumption significantly increases the risk of prostate and ovarian cancer " ; a recommendation also made by the USDA (Department of Agriculture of the United States ) to change the food pyramid.

Besides cancer, other studies have linked the consumption of milk and dairy products with the risk of developing diseases and symptoms such as allergies , asthma , arthritis, fibromyalgia , constipation, conjunctivitis , obesity , diabetes and anemia, among others.
