His lifeBritish Chemist & physicistBorn on the 22nd September 1791 in South

LondonHis family were not well off and he only received

a basic, formal education. When he was 14 he apprenticed to a local

bookbinder and the following 7 years while he worked there, he read many books on scientific subjects

He was well known for electricityIn 1831, he began a series of experiments to do

with electricityHe died in 1867

His discovery In 1831, he discovered electromagnetic

induction (Electromagnetic induction is the production of voltage across a conductor situated in a changing magnetic field or a conductor moving through a stationary magnetic field. Found on wikipedia.org)

This would have been done in a lab and lots of testing to find this out and prove it.

Faradays discoveries todayHis discovery of Electro magnetic induction is found

in many things today, that is why I think it is important. Without some of the following things its in, life wouldn’t be the same:

Induction motorsElectrical generatorsTransformersContactless charging of rechargeable batteriesGraphics tabletWireless energy transferElectric Guitar PickupsCurrent transformer metersClamp meterAudio and video tapes

Which one?I think that the electromagnetic induction

was the most important and that is why I have used that one throughout this presentation, not any others. As without this life may not have evolved as well and many extras we have today may not have been around.
