Homework Years 3&4 - Term 2, Weeks 4&5, 2017 Due: Friday 19th May Reading: Choose a book to read from home, the library or the classroom. Read every night for 10 minutes. Goal: I can read every night. Mon Tue Wed Thurs Fri Colour the nights you read or have your parents sign. Spelling: 5-10 minutes Goal: I can spell new words to use in my writing. Choose words from your spelling list to learn. Below is a list of spelling activity suggestions: 1. Write words forwards and backwards 2. Cut out letters from a magazine and glue together in your book to make the words 3. Draw a picture and hide your words in the picture 4. Write your words using fancy letters or colours. New words are given at the beginning of each week. Spelling tests are held every week on Friday and at the end of term. Grid Choice One: Inquiry I can recount what I learnt on the excursion to Queenscliff. Write a short paragraph to recount what you saw, did and/or learnt on our excursion to Queenscliff. We did lots of things so try to focus on one part of the excursion. Here is a list of things we did to help you remember: 1. Drove to Sorrento and caught the ferry to Queenscliff 2. Participated in Rockpool Ramble at Point Lonsdale 3. Visited the aquariums at Marine and FreshWater Discovery Centre at Queenscliff 4. Visited the historical Fort at Queenscliff. You may wish to draw a picture or write down some questions you still have from our excursion. Remember to write neatly and to edit your writing. What choices were made? 2. What were the consequences? How were others affected by the choices? Grid Choice Three: Mathematics Goal: I can become familiar with playing cards by participating in games of chance.
