MH Campus – How to Pair Your Canvas Account and Course with Connect
What you will need:
• A Canvas username and password (instructor) • A Canvas course (that you are enrolled in as an instructor) • A Connect account (if you already have one, if not you will create one)
By Pairing your Canvas Account and Course with Connect you will be able to:
1. Establish Single Sign-‐On (SSO) between Canvas and Connect. 2. Utilize Grade Sync (if enabled by your Canvas Administrator).
Getting Started with Pairing Your Course
1. To get started, log in to Canvas at: https://canvas.iu.edu
2. Under Courses, locate and click on your course name (B).
3. Under the Home menu, click on Modules (C).
4. Locate and click on McGraw Hill Campus link (D).
5. Click on Load McGraw-‐Hill Campus in a new window (E).
6. Click on the box to agree to the Terms of use (F). Click Get Started (G).
7. Under My Courses, search for textbook (H). Click Find Now (I). Note: We recommend searching by textbook ISBN to produce best results.
8. Find textbook and click on Select (J). Note: Prior to your textbook selection, please verify that the ISBN is correct.
9. Click on the Connect button (K).
10. Enter a valid email address (L). Click on Find my account (M).
11. If a new Connect user, click create a new account (N). Move to step (Q).
12. If an existing Connect user, enter Connect password (O). Click Log In (P). Move to Step (S).
13. Click Create a new Connect account and complete your registration (Q).
14. Complete all fields and accept the Terms of Use. Click Continue (R).
15. Click Select (S).
16. Click I want this for my students (T).
17. Click Adopt Connect (U).
18. Choose A section in an existing Connect course (V) as a Connect course and section will automatically be created based on your textbook selection via MH Campus.
19. Select a section (W). Click Save (X). Note: You may also select Add a new section, if applicable.
20. Connect section has been paired successfully. Click on go to section home page in order to access Connect (Y).
