Volunteer Job Duties

• Volunteers will rotate during their shift to the following areas:

1. Gallery Guide/ Floater (rotate through exhibit area)

2. Gift Shop Assistant (provide assistance in retail area)

3. Ticket Taker (no cash handling)

4. Photo Concession Assistant

Volunteer Requirements

• Attend Volunteer Orientation session

• Must be at least 16 years old

• Must pass live scan fingerprinting/ background check (includes DMV check)

• Seeking minimum 2 shifts per month (shifts are 4 hours in length)

Volunteer Shifts

• Exhibit opens to the public Sat. June 19th

• The operating hours of the exhibit: 12-8pm

• 7 days a week (excluding select Holidays)

• Parking validation will be provided to all volunteers during their assigned shifts

• Available shifts:~12-4pm (4 hours)

~4-8pm (4 hours)

Dress Code

• Black or khaki pants (no shorts or jeans)

• Volunteers will be provided with a T-shirt to wear during their shifts

• Comfortable footwear (no flip flops)

How to sign up…

• Go to the City’s webpage and complete the online application for the Municipal Volunteer program

• https://cityjobs.riversideca.gov/hr/JobListings.aspx• Contact Museum staff at 951-826-5962 (or e-mail

[email protected]) once you have submitted your online application

• Wait to be contacted by Human Resources for your live scan fingerprint/ background check

• Once your results are received/ cleared, you will be contacted to schedule your training

• Training will begin week of June 14th
