• Started in 1957 by Paul Kapoor

• Specialise in precision engineering of high value components, tools, jigs and fixtures for:

Turbine Manufacturing Capabilities Tools and Fixtures

• Metal Tech Engineering have been supplying tools and fixtures utilised in the assembly/disassembly of aerospace turbines for the last 6 years.

• Trent 1000

• IAE

• This was achieved by using:

• CNC Machining centres – up to 5-axis machining.

• CNC – Lathes.

• Manual machining (lathes, mills, gun drills, grinding EDM and wire cutting).

• Welding and fabrication.

• Inspection equipment

• An active quality management system to ensure compliance to drawings/specifications.

Calibration/Inspection– Metrology Calibration

• Metrology Group has an independent calibration facility with ISO 17025 certification

• Director of Calibration Services – Lyndon Kapoor

• 20 years of technical competence in dimensional calibration

• State of the art facility on premise in Hamilton, New Zealand.

• MRO facilities for the aerospace regularly require tools, fixtures and gauges utilised in the maintenance and overhaul of turbines to be recalibrated and certified to international and OEM standards.

• This ensures MRO facilities meet the warranty and performance requirements of OEM’s such as:

• Pratt and Witney

• Rolls Royce

• General Electric

• IAE.
