I wanted them to have that beautiful Cursillo experience. They needed to go!! Glenn, Michele, David, Amanda, Wayne, Holly, David, Sarah….and others went. How- ever, the more I told people they NEEDED to go, the more resistance I got. And then I heard a Pastor who went through set me right. He mentioned that people DESERVED Cursillo. They DESERVE the opportunity to come and feel the love of God like they have never felt! They DESERVE the opportunity to come and be renewed. Yes, they deserve this however, we seem to have developed a problem. For the past several Cursillo’s we have actually struggled to get a full slate of pilgrims. Pilgrim applications seem to trickle in just in time to fill a Cursillo. I am going to ask you to do something …Would you take the opportunity to recruit new pilgrims? Don’t you think they DESERVE to go? If you will try three simple steps I think you will be successful. 1.Pray that God will put the right person(s) in front of you to ask to come to Cursillo. 2. With application in hand, ask them would they like to attend a weekend where they can relax and enjoy God’s love! 3. Get the signed application and send it in. One last thing… some sponsors believe they have to PAY the way of their pil- grim. NOT TRUE, although it is a beautiful thing to do. A lot of pilgrims can pay their way and a lot of ultreyas will assist the pilgrim. However, do NOT let money be a deter- rent in asking someone to come. God will provide as He always does! Let us go and serve the Lord! Please continue to pray for #181. Monte and Jim and the team are prepared and God is in control! Ultreya! Robert Harris Chairman, Methodist Cursillo of Mississippi P.S.
